In halo2 I heard that you can be a covanant on multiplayer, but what kind of covanants can you be? Is it only the elite or something like that, but it would be cool if you could be a jakal or something.

Anyone got any info please?

The latest Game Informer said that Elites would be playable in multiplayer

does that mean you will be able to drive the covenant only vehicles on multiplayer as an elite or will all vehicles be available to any one.

Do you expect anyone to really be able to answer that question?

I don't think anyone will get much more information on multiplayer until the game comes out. I do have to say that if you could play as any of the covenent that the Jackel would be the best to play as.

The covenant are in halo2 multiplayer. As a matter of fact, I you can BE one.
Forget jackals, I'd rather be a prophet or a brute.By the way , prophets are the most powerful of the covenant races. They are actually incredibly strong and could rip a hunter to pieces.(If you don't believe me read the end of first strike.)

I don't remember reading about a Prophet killing a Hunter at the end of First Strike. The Prophets do have psycho kinetic capabilities, though. I wonder if the Master Chief will be able to face off with one of them in Halo 2?

NOOOOO! The brute is standing next to a prophet and he thinks to be careful of his choice of words BECAUSE a prophet could rip a huter to shreds

Elites you will be able to play as. Now as far as the ability for them/you to drive any human vehicle or use human guns are completely out of my range of knowledge.

Look, if a spartan can fit into their veichiles, then i am sure they can fit into ours. Same with weapons. In halo:flood, the elite picks up a pistol and shoots a marine prisoner. So I bet they can.

I agree. They know how to use our weapons but in First Strike it was mentioned that they just didn't want to use our weapons.

I figure the same with the vehicles.

The Master Chief emerged from his code. After seeing his dynamically lit realtime shadow, he went back for 9 more months of development.

Behold the power of the Originals, the Gods Axeone-Neurone.

Elites are a foot taller than a spartan and may not fit. Also Elites disdain human technology and would not use it out of principal.

The quote from first strike,
was a magnificent specimen of viscousness. The Prophet marveled at its near-unthinking potential for mayhem; the rippling muscle under its dull gray could tear apart any opponent-even a mighty Hunter. It was the perfect instrument.
A Brute can tear apart a Hunter not a Prophet.
