H1 and Halo Custom edition name: madkiller92

I have played CoD4 in the higher settings with my 8600, and it lagged. I used 1280x960 in 16:9 and it looked as nice as 1680x1050 with more performance.
I wanted to try this with H2, but 1280x720 is very blurry, and 1280x960 doesn't seem to be in 16:9. 1280x960 can be a bit blurry and too wide for me without 16:9 ratio.
So, can I change aspect ratio for resolutions on it, or am I stuck with the defaults for each res.
Is there anyways to force it to change ratio?
And if I put it in windowed mode it looks nice, but it only takes up about 1/2 of my 20" screen.

Pretty much stuck.

Try cranking it up to the max resolution that your monitor supports.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

You might as well just try a random resolution since thats what you seem to be doing anyways.

First of all your monitor which sounds like is native 16:10 (1680x1050) so pick a resolution that is the same ratio.

Lets also be logical here. You can't change the aspect ratio of a resolution without changing the resolution. Since ratio in this case is a function of width over height YOU CANNOT change the ratio without changing one of the dimensions. ex 1600x1200 is 4:3 and the ONLY way to get it to 16:10 is to change either the height or width(or both) ex 1920x1200 or 1600x900.

1280x960 is 4:3 NOT 16:9 and not what you want
1280x720p is 16:9 NOT what you want

1280x800 is the resolution you want that is the same as your monitor.

There is a tool somewhere that lets you use custom resolutions in Halo 2. I believe it is somewhere at Halomaps.org.
