Something that has always bugged me about the Master Chief's armor, which is just that, it's supposed to be armor. So why then in Halo is it just Health + Shields that are monitored? Why is there no 3rd set of lines/bars/graphs between Health and Shield that represents the Mjolnir armor's ability to reduce/stop damage? That would make more sense to me. It really wouldn't affect gameplay, but they make such a big deal about the power suit and all that, the least they could have done was make it actually work like armor.

It can deflect some bullets, but it completely melts from plasma, or so the books say. Basically, to make the game simple, you have two healths instead of three. It's just for simplicity, not for realism.

How do you die inside your armor when your armor doesn't have a damn scratch? Does he melt inside it or something???

Heyyo,

Remember now dude, Marathon n' Halo are 2 separate stories. There's the marathon mark on the spirit of autum, and the same names for the rocketlaunchers, but that's where the similarities end really. So just cause 1's more detailed than the other, or one seems more advanced n' stuff? just remember, they're set in 2 separate stories is all. ;)

I'm guessing the armor absorbs the damage and delivers it to the person inside in order to keep the armor useful incase the person inside dies. Kindof like on Unreal2's multiplayer turrets. They absorb the damage, and the damage is linked to the current commander of the turret. And that's that.

Technically once the armor has been compromised, one decent hit, and you wouldn't have eneugh "Body health" to make a difference anyways..
