People keep saying that the flood are in Halo 2, but some people think that you are fighting them away from a halo. Problem.. if the flood escape from a halo then they can't be stopped can they. Even a million spartans would be able to stop a univeral swarm of flood

if the only thing that can wipe out the flood are the halos then, they must have survived the halo being broken up

The only thing that can eliminate ALL of the flood is halo. It's designed to kill every thing within it's blast radius. If a shotgun can stop them they could not survive a blast like that. Unless they made it off the ring. There are probably flood on the other rings though.

Wait wait wait.... who says all the flood were killed on halo??? Becuz if I remember correctly the flood had taken over Capt. Keyes soooo they infact know where Earth is (I think) so what if the big Capt. Keyes sent a message to an other flood queen thingy..... Remember, their where more than one Covie ship on Halo so the flood may have taken more than one ship and have escaped....... But we will only know come November 9th

OK GUYS THERE ARE 4 RINGS WITH EACH HAVING THE FLOOD GET IT GOT IT

Me: "OMFG, Dude... wtf!"
AbolitionofMan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to betray you."
Me: "That's the 4th time in this game alone!"
Chris: "Third, besides he had the flag I was trying to stop him, how was I supposed to know you were there."
Me: "I said, 'I got the Flag, don't shoot.'"
Chris: "Well those Wraith shots take a while to reach you."
Me: "You were right next to me, I had killed him and a minute passed before you decided to shoot."
Chris: "Hahahahaha, yeah... that was great."

There are at least 4 Rings, there may be more. But, as the galaxy is ideally 100,000 light years across, and each ring had a range of 25,000 light years it is not likely there are more. The Flood on Halo DID know about Earth, but those were all killed off. No Ship other than the Longsword the MC was on and the one Pelican made it off the Ring.

We haven't met any Flood in First Strike...so i don't think that we'll go up against them on Earth
Also if there are 4 rings....there are probably different races on each. Obviously, the Forerunner were trying to create, study or learn something. Why stop at the flood, why not study other races? Besides the Flood are getting old. Who actually wants to see the Flood again in Halo 2?

OK GUYS THERE ARE 4 RINGS WITH EACH HAVING THE FLOOD GET IT GOT IT

Dimensions of the Milky Way Galaxy:
* 100,000 ly diameter
* 300 ly thickness
* 16,000 ly radius bulge at the galactic center

The Milky way Galaxy can be considered a disk with a spherical bulge at the center.

Placement of Halos:
* 1 at the galactic center for the bulge
* 4 on the x-axis 25,000 ly from the galactic center
* 8 on the x-axis near the edged of the galaxy

4 is not enough to cover the galaxy, the Halos have a circular radius and the bulge would not covered. I have drawn to the placement of the Halos to scale and it takes 13.

Yes.....wouldn't 4 only be able to cover the DIAMETER of the Milky Way?
You would have to know the area of the Milky Way
I'd say your speculations might be correct
