Do you think, after many years, (decades even) people will still be playing Halo? I don't mean a download on the 360, or the PC version, I'm talking about Halo on the original xbox.

The Rivers Jiggly Bah

I'll be playing untill I'm Dead. I hope Bungie ports xbox live abilities in the system link, would be an easy update....

Sometimes when I look at the moon at night, my mind embraces the thought of a love so vivid and true that I almost believe it is real. Then, due to my delusions, I am forced back into reality and begin to indulge myself in real life vices such as chocolates and German board games to get that once natural high.

I play Halo almost every month when my friend comes over. Co-op is the best, am I right?

Yes, of course.

The Mario games are a good example of that.

Right on. Space Invaders is still being kicked around.
Great is great.

Pretty sure I will. They should recreate Halo: CT.

-=EDIT=-

Nevermind I won't, I will probably play it on the Xbox 360 though; as a Download (dun dun dun)

Halo 3 multiplayer will probably live on for a few more years. Halo 2 will fade out in a year or two.

But I can see Halo 1 being remembered as a classic. It could be up there with Doom, Final Fantasy, Goldeneye, Super Mario Bros. and all those other games that pop up every few years as genre defining legends.

In the future, you'll beable to download it on a cell phone! I hope so...

Yay, Legendary status! Thank you bungie.net!

Halo 1 is a classic. People still play and revere DOOM, and it will be the same with Halo.

Like others have said, it will live on as a turning-point game in FPS Shooters for consoles, long after Halo 2 & 3 have died out as other hyped up online multiplayer games.

Campiagn Kill Count :31,745. And growing.

The Revisionaries- One of the greatest screenshot groups on B.net. With 250 members and growing.

have you guys played h3? just curious..

I think h3 would have a much better feel in campaign if the player and vehicle speeds were reduced. it's too easy to get from place to place. makes the maps/levels seem smaller. Great thing about HCE was the grand size of the levels (imo).

The games could have been made by different developers, for all their similarites. Sure, the weapons & characters & story may be the same, but the gameplay is drastically different, and that's what should define a series: consistent gameplay.

DOES THIS MEAN HALO 3 IS MADE BY BUNGIE?!?

While Halo 2 and Halo 3 will be played by the niche followers, Halo: Combat Evolved will be a Mario-esque remembered title. Most of the teenagers playing Xbox today were brought in by Halo and Halo 2.

somewhere in the heavens...they are waiting. I love the Marathon Trilogy.
Halo CE will always be the best game in the Halo franchise. What a perfect game.
(Proud LONGTIME owner of the PC and Xbox versions of Halo CE)

Why not the REAL case and disc.

My case still has the 'only for xbox' sticker on it. Thats how old-skool it is. As for remaining played, I'd say so. eventually it will become one of those games that come free with PC magazines, and people will be playing it and laughing at how primitive it is.

but even now it still has new tricks being discovered. I really want to go back and try out this

  • 08.11.2008 12:46 AM PDT

I think so, Halo is one of those games like Super Mario Bros. 3. It will always be fun to play even after many years have gone by. I don't see it going away any time soon.

  • 08.11.2008 1:08 AM PDT

Just message me on live.

Do people play Mario Kart 64 still? Or other games you play with friends?

  • 08.11.2008 1:36 PM PDT

No we don't.. I mean no I don't.... But something like Halo must live on. I will stay playing Halo for years i htink. Only I hope Bungie doesn't take a wrong path and erase the now Legendary name Halo by creating a bad sequel or something....

Never curse a failure. Learn from your mistakes so that if you are lucky enough to get a second chance, you can avoid repeating the same mistakes. And have a greater outcome.

more than likely, they'll remake halo with better graphics and AI's in the future
