The Needler, one of the oddest looking weapons in Halo. personally I love using the Needler, I mean what ISNT fun about launching tons of little purple Needles in an opponent's gut and watching them explode! Needles do one hell of a light show =). I know not all of you like Covie weapons but still the Needler is fun anyways. Id like to know what you people think please tell thank you =)

I try to balance the weapons I use in multiplayer so I don't use the same ones over and over again, but the Needler is just no use to me. Can't stand it.

4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

Battle Creek is the best level in MP to use the Needler. The enemy usually has nowhere to go, and they're easy targets for the Needler.

I like the needler in campaign, but it can seem useless in some of the MP levels ((p.s. A needler's Melee attack has gotta sting))

The needler is the most humiliating (pardon the spelling problem... if there is one) weapon in the game. Everyone I play with hates being killed by pink/purple needles. They consider it an insult!

In short. I'm inbetween the first two options.

i think the needler is cool because when you launch a bunch of needlers on an enemy, he explodes!

The needler has it's charms. The only draw back is it's small maximum ammo and it's delayed effect. But getting kills in multiplayer with it is definitely a way to show off your superiority. Ever try getting several teammates together with needlers and guarding a narrow passageway? Also, to be good at Halo you have to be able to use any weapon on any level. If you have any soft spots...better play what you don't like. It's all about winning. After all, it is a game.

Sometimes me and my freinds turn off covenant weapons just to get rid of it, Only n00bs like it, and It shoots pink dilldos. It sucks. Id rather mele with a empty roket launcher.

I wrote an article in the Tactica: Weapons database of my chapter (feel free to join) about the needler. For convenience (mine, not yours) I'll post it here:

"Many people think the needler is useless in Halo. I beg to differ. I think it might still be the worst weapon in the game, but it does have uses in both single and multiplayer.

Campaign: Elites can be a pain to take out. Especially in higher difficulties. In Heroic and Legendary I normally use plasma grenades, but at these levels the Elites have good nade dodging skills. This is where the needler comes in. If I have a particularly hard time with an Elite I will sometimes pick up a needler. If I pump about half a clip into him he will die. This works best in open areas where an Elite can easily dodge plasma grenades but can't duck behind cover to escape the wrath of the explosive pink needles heading his way.

Multiplayer: Probably less use here, but still some power. Half a clip will kill a Spartan, and give off a powerful explosion. Sometimes its fun to pump a full clip into an opponent. This is a bit of an overkill, but the resulting three explosions might do some damage to other players. At the least it will look cool. Not to mention the humility that comes to people who underestimate the needler and get owned by it.

So there you have. The needler isn't the most powerful weapon in Halo, but it has the potential to be very deadly if used by someone who knows what they're doing. I know Shane recognizes its power."

And raleigh, you're wrong. Its actually the opposite: the noobs (I thought we couldn't use that word?) don't like it cause they don't have enough skill to use it properly. The more experienced players realize its potential and can get it to work for them.
