in the Halo 2 documentary one of the programmers states that they wanted the players to feel as if there really was a battle there thousands of years before and you are shown a vast scape that is in ruins whats that about?
I think that is the ruins of some forerunner planet that was in a battle years ago and it got destroyed
If your talking about Zanzibar, that's got something to do with the halo books. A battle must of taken place there or something.
maybe ya visit reach, or some other colony planet while pushing back the covies.
I was kinda thinking that the Covenant are trying to reclaim somthing (pride, artifact, history, revenge?)
what they showed was probobly what a planet looks like wen it was galssed, and then cools off years later.

My thumbsticks will be your Doom.... sorry 'bout that.My Stats
okay there sniper how do you know he was tlking about earth, eh?I think he was definitely talking about visiting another world or instalation. I think it was Jason Jones in that documentary that said that this game will be much more of a galactic romp, meaning we get to see other places besides earth, a Covie and human ships and of course... a Halo ring. I like the idea of an old glassed world that we go to cause we think the Covenant "overlooked" something there (it'll probably be something really big with the story since he mentiond the ruins of a battle that took place "thousands of years ago" keeping in mind the Human-Covenant war has only been going on for like 30 years or so).
