I would have to agree with Gibsonatrix. The music in Halo is used as a tool for the gameplay and custom soundtracks would possibly ruin the mood. For example, in the first Halo, during The Maw level, the music would be silent for a moment and then the strings will come in and give the game a creepy moment that something is about to happen and reminds you to stay on your toes because the Flood are coming. Now wouldn't a moment like that be ruined if you were listening to AC/DC (please, do not comment on them) while trying to use your stealth tactics to sneak up on them? However, I think it would be awesome to have a choice to use custom soundtracks in MP because, first of all, I doubt there wil much music used in MP due to the realistic sound FX used to make you feel alone (see Bungie News Update), and second of all, it would only be a choice to use it, and I think music improves gameplay just like the guitar riffs in the Silent Cartographer did for me. After that guitar came in on "Rock Anthem For Saving the World", I wooped major covie ass at a faster pace. So go buy the Halo Official Soundtrack, that would be MY "custom soundtrack".
