Haven't be cool to listening to rock, metal or maybe your pulsing trance music as you play the game, and it would be fine if you could adjust your music, sound, voice, ambient and overall volume? that would be nice i think.

Personally, I'm a fan of Marty's music. Not only is the music itself cool, but the dynamic sound system that changes the music as is appropriate to gameplay is simply awesome.

It would be an insult to Marty's great work to have custom soundtracks in Halo 2.

I love Halo music its the best especially the song playing after you hit the switch and start to leave the silent cartographer .... you know the one with the guitar, more music like that will be awesome. I really like the there in the teaser trailer, it gave me chills (you know when cortana says "reinforcements are on the spoke") but a customizable soundtrack will be a nice feature

The soundtrack is fine, although it would be nice to play your own music sometimes.

I think that all they should do is place custom songs in multiplayer because campaign music is perfect for the game but having own songs in multiplayer only would be nice

I would have to agree with Gibsonatrix. The music in Halo is used as a tool for the gameplay and custom soundtracks would possibly ruin the mood. For example, in the first Halo, during The Maw level, the music would be silent for a moment and then the strings will come in and give the game a creepy moment that something is about to happen and reminds you to stay on your toes because the Flood are coming. Now wouldn't a moment like that be ruined if you were listening to AC/DC (please, do not comment on them) while trying to use your stealth tactics to sneak up on them? However, I think it would be awesome to have a choice to use custom soundtracks in MP because, first of all, I doubt there wil much music used in MP due to the realistic sound FX used to make you feel alone (see Bungie News Update), and second of all, it would only be a choice to use it, and I think music improves gameplay just like the guitar riffs in the Silent Cartographer did for me. After that guitar came in on "Rock Anthem For Saving the World", I wooped major covie ass at a faster pace. So go buy the Halo Official Soundtrack, that would be MY "custom soundtrack".

People, people, people. NOOO. Come on think for a minute. Do you remember the first time you played Halo multiplayer and heard the wonderful sound of a rocket swooooshing over your head, missing you by a hair? Or how about the first time you caught someone slipping in "Hang Em High", comming around the corner in the hallway and they ran right into your guage? We cannot have the sound of warfare dimmed to the sound of rap, or rock. It's an absolute no no (at least in my opinion).

your own nice piece of music in multiplayer is a nice idea. Sure, perhaps you don't hear al those great sounds and noises, but when i'm driving around in a warthog i just wanna hear some good old fashion rock and roll.

I wouldn't like it for Single Player. However Multi player I would kill to have them. Sometimes the same music over and over in Multiplayer can get annoying. However if I could play what I want while playing with friends on live, I would be in heaven.

If they don't then I wouldn't mind either. After all Marty's music is damn good.

Get used to it, Modified, because there will be even more guitar used in Halo 2. How do I know this, you ask? Because in a photo of the orchestra, there is a guitarist in the back.

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." Albert Einstein
"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty." Gandhi

How about this, have it so that you have to beat the game, then you can use custom soundtracks. What do you say Bungie?
