Okay, so I use Alchohol to mount my games like BFV so I don't need to fumble for the cd (trust me, I do buy the games).

However, I've been trying to mount HaloPC for days, but no luck. Just so many read errors and such when I create the image file that it will spend half a day creating it, only for it to be corrupted. Does anybody else use Alcohol with Halo, and what settings do you use?

You can use daemon tools to mount the Image I think it works better

Well, thing is I have no way to make the image yet. I would use it, but no program seems to be able to make the iso, bin/cue, etc. It've tried CloneCD, Alcohol, and countless others.

Alcohol 120 will work with Halo. Those disk read errors you speak of are normal, it does it with every game I mount with alcohol 120%...The game will not be corrupt when you try to play it. It goes real slow in the begining but once it gets to around 5% or so The speed will increase dramatically

U can also use Nero to extract a CD image. Ive done it for halo and it works. Much easier than other programs. All u have to do is open up Nero and select "Save Tracks" Then u can select the destination of the image and click Go and it will save the image. Than use Daemon tools to mount the image. Or Nero's Image Drive.

I use Alcohol 120% for all of my games, including Halo. No problems (except with Railroad Tycoon 3...) with anything. I always use something called ClonyXXL before I run Alcohol and it determines what are the best settings. I don't remember where I got it, but if you can't find it I can always send it to you... it's only a couple of kb.

(Edit) Right, I've managed to track it down for you. Check THIS page about half way down and look for 'ClonyXXL 2.0.1.5'.

Don't worry about the fact that it starts off in German... All you have to do is set it to English, and it's easy to see where the options are.

Enjoy... :)
