Hello All,
I just got a 61 inch HDTV DLP set. So what does this have to do with the subject of this post? Let me explain.
I know that Halo 2 does not support the 1080i HDTV setting, but Halo 1 does (at least that's what the specs say). I have been playing Halo 2 for some time now with the Logitech Wireless controller and love the HDTV display, even though it is only 480p. I like the wide screen aspect ratio. I wanted to see the 1080i output, so I loaded Halo 1.
I noticed immediately that although the wireless controller D-Pad control worked, none of the other buttons would work. I tried them all, X, Y, A, B, ... Nothing would happened.
To make sure it was not something wrong with the XBOX or game I plugged in a wired controller. No problem. I plugged the wireless controller back in and Halo 1 still would not honor the other button presses.
I ejected the Halo 1 disk to get to the XBOX dashboard. The XBOX dashboard works with all the buttons.
I loaded Halo 2 and no problem with the wireless controller.
Why could this be happening?
Great Scott
