My friends little sisters play Halo. They suck and always start whining and -blam!-ing in the Mutliplayer matches. It's funny to see them start punching my friend when they get pissed at him for beating them tho.

I mean, I don't know of any girls, save one, who play Halo, and she's a -blam!-(literally). And any other girls I tell I play Halo, they're like,"What? You're a loser!" haha, anyone else feel the same? I mean, I think Halo is a thing guys and girls of all ages should love and learn to play. What do you think?

Yeah a few of my friends that are girls think i'm a loser cause I play Halo. O well. . . . Halo's awesome.

Girls dont like alot of cideogames of any genre because they're competative, apart from the SIMS i've never seen a girl playing anything else. (excluding my lil sis on halo)

Grunty man i was chatting to Bungiebabe, she's really your sis man??

I'm a girl and I play. I kick ass against most of the guys I play, but they're not that great, so I can't really say that I'm great. But anyways, I play and I love it. 'Cept when I play on GameSpy tunnel cuz the guys on there are @ssholes. I just wanna play and playing against someone who's gonna kill be the second I respawn is no fun. They could atleast go easy on me, and anyone else (guy or girl) who isn't great. Am I the only one that just likes to play?

KINGSKORPION says:

That is VERY true! I like to play 'Halo' every so often to kill time and tried to get my Girlfriend to play a few months ago. She couldn't grasp the double thumbstick controls (for some reason she kept her thumb on the Y BUTTON ). She tried for around 20 minutes and then gave up.

As for 'The Sims', now that's totally different. I bought it about 3 weeks ago and after about 45 minutes my Girlfriend was hooked! I'm not being sexist of anything but there's definitely something about Simulation games (especially people controlling like 'The Sims') that girls love; maybe its the design aspect of the game.

As for boys, every boy seems to like at least one 1st Person Shooter. They may not be interested for too long (1 month or 2) but there's a definately a facination of FPS coming from boys.

I'd choose FPS over simulation any day.

Good for you, Simulation can be OK for a while but I get bored after about 20mins when watching and bored after 1hr of playing.

With FPS I hardly ever get bored (Rainbow Six 3 is one exception, I played it once on each difficulty and haven't played since).

PS. As for Third Person Shooters (Conflict Desert Storm 1+2, Brute Force) I find them quite boring too. The gameplay and plot of Confict Desert Storm 2 is very good, but the whole TPS thing doesn't work for me (only works in driving situations).

Me and some friends had a little 'battle of the sexes' tournament using halo, it was 4v4. These girls were pros however; and my team basically got whipped hardcore.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I really wish more women were hardcore gamers.

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

My sister plays it.

Usually never seen any girls play Halo either. (SHAME)
But we had a little LAN party at school once, then some of the girls in my class played. They seemed to enjoy it.

like i said before, i play halo and i love it. my roomies play with me sometimes, but it's more to get drunk than to play seriously. we also play pacattack (a locked game on the namco museum disc) which is great when you're drunk

i also like simulation games. the sims, roller coaster tycoon, etc.

i just like games...

i think the reason that a lot of girls don't play is because of the lack of hand-eye coordination. generally girls who can play sports can pick up video games easily. hand-eye coordination is something you must be born with and work on throughout your life. the same goes for guys though, guys who don't have hand-eye coordination don't like video games either.

Hello, I'm Daryl. Nice to meet you. See you around.

My little sister plays Halo. My friend played a bit of Halo in school and I'm pretty sure no girls played, as well as when we played Gamecube in class once it was only the males. I think the reason that most (most not all!) don't play videogames in general is because they're afraid of being themselves. Conventional wisdom says that videogames are for boys (as they say the color blue is), but in reality, they are for humans. There's a woman on the development team of Halo, and another that I know of that works at Bungie. I think that the younger girls play Halo (like my sister and many of yours too) because they haven't been fed all of those dumb stereotypes. But for those who play videogames because they enjoy it, thank you for being yourself.

Wait... why did the topic change from "any girls out there" to "any hott girls out there". That's pretty sad, maybe they are just avoiding that stereotypical crowd.

i totally disagree. i don't think that other girls that don't play are avoiding being themselves, think they just don't like it. just like guys don't like pretty pink purses and fluffy bunnies. people do what makes them happy. for some, it's video games like halo. for others it's games like the sims. for others it's shopping or getting their nails done. if those who do not enjoy video games did play, then they wouldn't be being themselves.

for you to say that girls don't play in order to fit in to stereotypes is just plain dumb. quite possibly one of the dumbest statements i've ever heard in this forum.

halo isn't for everyone. games are not for everyone one. just cuz you (and many other people in this forum) spend extensive hours every day playing video games doesn't mean that everyone should and that those who don't are avoiding their own desires.

just cuz you sit at home and m@sturbate while playing halo, doesn't mean that everyone should.

maybe if you had talked a girl within the past year you would realize that girls are more theirselves today than ever. but you're too busy sitting at home playing video games with a bunch of other guys who can get laid.

personally i think you're avoiding being yourself by not buying pretty pink purses and getting your nails done.

to those of you guys who do get your nails done because you enjoy it, thanks for being yourself.
