Remember,
It is easy to be male
it is another thing to be a man.

I found that to prevent the googling use an GT that has something in it that would appear a lot. Most hackers wouldn't trawl through thousands of results for any small tidbit of information.

Hey guys ive heard of a recent and new phishing story to get your account...

It is called interlocking. Interlocking is "supposedly" where a guy knows somebody who "works for bungie" and can add all his armor, gamerscore, microsoft points, ect ect to the other person. It requires 1 persons password and email, and 1's email.

Example- Guy with recon has account and wants to try and give it to his best friend, This hacker comes along and says he will "interlock". He explains what it is. He asks for recons email and pass and for his friends email. He says it will not take long and you can still play while the process is being done. Says he will personally mail you when hes done. Also says that he knows a bungie employee and that this is totally legit.

My idiot cousin had fallen for this trick today, and i thought i would warn you all about this new threat to Recon owners... Hope i could be of some help...

Thanks... sadly, some people take advantage of people who are so desperate for Recon Armor that they'll try just about anything. Hopefully, they take heed of the advice to never give out your password to anybody, ever.

I hope you don't understand that you don't have to have any info on a person to take their account, just gamertag.

Additional protip:

Google your Windows Live ID login, i.e., the email you use as your Live ID login.

If you find any results, that means someone else can find that email too. The best way to protect your Live ID is if no one knows what it is.

So, "webmaster@bungie.com" isn't safe?

Someone had better warn him!

-Hey, I'm ReaKti0Nx
-Im a legit 50
-Yes I have recon, No I cannot give it to you.
-I don't do random friend requests (No matter how many you send.)
-I dont accept random game invites.
-If you dont like the above, tough, I'm not here to play with you, I'm here to enjoy MY xbox live experience.

Great post, Hopefully this will help people out.

I used to be one of those people who would quickly create accounts JUST so that I could play the game, or gain access to the site, but I would never enter my real info.

Would suck If someone would have hacked me back in the day :)

Cuz Im pretty sure Im not alfred funkle from mars.
