If there was one super power I could have, it would be telekinesis and this game has not only made my wish true, but exceded it. Psi-Ops is one of the few new games of its genre that has brought something new, and made it something great.

LOOK UP THERE!!! Its a bird. Its a plane. NO, its a man on fire, whos been shot to death, and seems to be floating in the air! O, the old telekinesis. In Psi-Ops your powers are not only fun to use, but even fun to watch in the storyline. Let alone there fun to watch, it kept you interested. The graphics are pretty good, but they could of used just a little more work. This is one of those games that I would not hesitate to see as a movie if they made one. You were a army man captured by terrorists and brain wiped. In the beginning of the game, a double agent finds you and injects a chemical into your body. This chemical helps release each one of your powers as you progress through the game, and man were they fun.

Telekinesis was easy to use, and no matter what you picked up, even a box, it was fun to throw. Mind drain was a even better add on. If you approached a enemy and he had no clue you were there, use mind drain, and their heads would explode like a firecracker on the fourth of July. Im glad to say, that I never got bored of that power. Mind control was fun to use, especially when you killed yourself. Pyrokinesis was great to use in order to hear your enemy scream like a little girl. Remote viewing helped to know if someone was around the corner, and Aura view was a nice little add on. You could see monsters that werent there, or a wall that you could break down in order to find some cool items. Whats funny about running out of psi power is that it didnt bring down how the game felt. Lets say you lost all your psi powers, and theres a guy in front of you, shoot him a couple times, then when he's on the floor, go up to him, use mind drain, watch your meter fill up with psi power and enjoy the firecrackers.

The shoot outs and ambushes you would get into were very fun to throw and burn your way out of. They never bored me, and they always made me think. Now, when I hear the word boss, I crunge with the fear of wanting to turn my xbox off, and break the game, but for Psi-Ops, I almost jumped into the screen hoping I would be able to fight the bosses because they were that much fun. I had a smile the whole time fighting those guys, and girls. I mean you would have fire, trucks, and even exploding men fly at you. Man, it is one of the greatest attributes about this game and thats one of the reasons why I like it so much.

Overall Psi-Ops is a really awesome game, but it has its minor flaws: the game can get confusing and you'll find yourself lost, its relitively short, four hours to be exact and I was playing the game on the hardest setting, and some times you would get bored, but usually you were back in the game before you knew it. The game was a definate hit for me, and should be tried by any of those who have time, and a nitch for super powers and because of that I give Psi-Ops: the Mindgate Conspiracy a 4 out of 5.
