Having played a few matches with the new H2H settings, i have to say, I don't think it's working.
-The 45 second no-waypoint time just means that if you are losing and manage to kill the winner, they now have 45 seconds to get you back while your still "blind". Essentially, there's no "bonus" to being in last any more, to help you get back into the game.
-Although it's a good idea to limit the power weapons on the map, it does seem like it's gone too far: towards the end of the game, there's nothing left, nothing you can use to help you maintain that lead or stage a dramatic come back. The final stages of H2H games are now really dry and dull. It's evident on Blackout the most - it's hard enough getting someone off the top of the BR tower, but if there's no power weapons left, it becomes near impossible. Especially when you have to expose yourself at the top of the lift to get your own BR!
-Why are there four (!) needlers on The Pit? Just seems a little high, especially with two of them respawning every 45 seconds.
-The invis blocking the waypoint sounds good in theory, but it makes it far too powerful. I'd rather be fighting a guy with an overshield than a guy with invis on a gametype that relies on waypoints.
I'll keep playing and see if it's just me not being used to the new settings, but for now, it seems like one step forward, two steps back. I love the playlist, so it's going to take a lot to stop me playing! :)
Oh, one final thing: the invis *needs* to be removed on Sword Duels. You can't lock onto them while they have it, meaning it's just grim. (Especially on Epitaph, when it's possible to fairly safely camp the spawn.)
