Speaking in Campaign terms only,
Was really disappointed within the first 2 minutes.
Thought for sure you'd be able to pick up or at least move the turret.
Also seemed lame that MC could understand the Elites. The old vocalizations made them seem more otherworldly. H-2's sounded like muppets 1/2 the time.
(Not to mention the horrible 2nd Grunt voice.)
But the initial disappointment quickly melted.
The long levels, new enemies, dual wield, boarding, swap weapons, Wraith, Arbiter...
The list goes on.
Is "messed up" in that it's not 10 times longer.
I understand that point, but in my point of view, that fact you can understand elites wasn't that bad at all, as for the grunts, nothing really changed. (Btw, the "old vocalization" for the elites was simply sargeant johnson in a deeper voice, talking backwards)
I also understand that being an alien in the arbiter levels was disappointing to you, but everything else you said didn't make sense at all.
The wraiths are still intimidating, (assuming your NOT playing easy or normal difficulty)
Being able to swap weapons with your allies was an improvement, boarding vehicles is a new element for the game, along with dual wielding. As well as the fact that levels were made with the idea of close quarters. (although you cant say you can get lost in the game)
The only problems you should even bother mentioning are the glitches, too many easter eggs, and of course, the PP with a severly overkilled homing improvement. (the old PP charge did indeed home in on people, but not to a degree that it was impossible to avoid)
There are faults on both games, I will say, but for those who have only halo CE or halo 3, dont even think of finding an improvement in Halo 2, its simply a different game that was rushed, but it does have good xbox live. (havent played it, though I wished I did) As well as having good story development in the campaign.
