;D

I just installed Halo PC. Everything is fine except for when I get near a reflective surface (most metal or water), the image doesn't show. Instead it shows this mess of different colored pixels. This may seem unclear but click HERE and you might know what I'm talking about. Any ideas on how to fix it? Notice how in the picture the problem only affects textures when I'm nearby. I'm on Windows Vista and I'm using Directx 10 and a 256mb ATI Radeon x1300 pro graphics card. Thanks for any help (:

Have you tried removing the game and all of its content from your computer, then reinstalling?

That's the graphic it uses when textures are missing/messed up. Reinstall the game.

Well it says my drivers are up to date and I have reinstalled Halo. Unfortunately the problem is still there. I've heard of some problems with Halo PC regarding Directx 10. Maybe it has something to do with that? If anyone else can figure something out it would be appreciated. Thanks b.net

Edit: I've been playing some game demos recently (Battlefield 2 and the Crysis SP demo) and I've noticed the same problem. Far-away land in BF2 wouldn't load and the sky and water in Crysis looked all messed up ONLY when I had the graphic setting on low. This brings me to the conclusion that theres a problem with the graphics card or Directx 10. Hopefully some of that information will help lol.

Ok, is your card overclocked? If not, also make sure it's not overheating.

Haha well I fixed the problem. I installed a different driver that i got from ATI's website. It's weird though cause my computer says i should install the more recent one. Oh well problem fixed.
