Two things:
1. Isn't this kind of off subject?
2. The link is kind of broken.

1. No. It's from the Silent Cartographer only it's the REAL arch on the beach.
2. Sorry, I had 2 and the second one wasn't working so I removed it. Are you saying that the other one isn't working because it just worked fine for me?

Here's another try. Link Just look at some of the pictures and you might recognize it from the Silent Cartographer.

So it's a small island map with an arch in it? So is Death Island.

Well I flipped my calender over to July yesterday and there is this picture that I immediately recognized from the Silent Cartographer.

It's El Arco in Baja Mexico.

Sorry I've had trouble finding a good link but if my links don't work, just do a google image seach and type in "el arco".

Look at some of the pictures because I believe that search will pull up several different arches but 1 of them will be from Baja at low tide and if you look hard enough you should recognize it and understand where I'm coming from.

The pictures of El Arco don't all look the same. There is a big difference in the high and low tides so you have to find one that's low tide. It should still be on page one of the search though.

But don't click the links or do the search if you don't like looking at beautiful real beaches that could possibly be the inspiration behind the beach in the Silent Cartographer.

All game developers take inspiration from real life places and events.

Or maybe they just wanted a cool beach assault to make a great start to a level.

"its not the years, its the mileage"

Good catch, that was certainly their inspiration. Some of those sections are downright identical to sections in the silent cartographer. Very cool to see in real life.

What is this thing?

Never been there.

Cool. But, it's not the only place that looks like that.

One on avalanche! I knew it was familiar!

Or possible they just like making cool arches.
