I do Agree with most of that. I defiantley understand and repect what your saying about the accuracy difference with halo 2 to halo 3. But towards the end of the halo 2 days it got to be more of a bxr bxb and quad shot battles more so than an actual BR fight. And i think bungie saw that as a problem with which i do agree, so i think halo 3 gave them a new platform for game physics to work with. I dont think the wanted to have that same problem so this was there solution. Now as i was thinking picture the BR in halo 2 and keep the characteristics of the halo 3 BR.... the way halo 3 was made was that it could never accompany a weapon like that. They started with halo 1. changed it in halo 2 to accomidate the BR's arrival. And then took what they had from both games and combined it. I think the new BR is fresh and adds a new intensity to the gameI'm not really sure where you were going with the BxR/BxB, etc, since those were glitches, but Bungie designed the BR for Halo 3 differently because they saw that their was a problem. And, that problem was an imbalance. Unfortunately, they chose to bring in the range of certain weapons closer. I never really understood why; were they trying to make Halo a close-ranged game? Either way, alot of people support them I guess. It would've been nice to have a shooter with accurate guns, though.

This is one important topic that should be added to my previous post. Yes you should have to lead your a shot. That makes sense. And you currently do have to lead your shots just a little bit. The auto aim in this game was toned downed significantly, and that was a good thing. But the BR spread is ridiculous. I have listed in my previous post what I believe to be valid reasons for change in the Halo 3 BR. Such as a Spartan being able to flip over a multi-ton Scorpion, but yet he cannot hold a BR steady. The fact that is the 26th century and kick back hasn't been eliminated. I mean modern weapons are more accurate than the Battle Rifle is. The fact that Halo 3 should not be using less accurate weapons than Halo 2. It makes no sense. While I do believe the BR needs an accuracy boost, for the reason that someone with perfect aim can lose to someone without, The leading of the BR needs to stay. It separates the great players from the good players, and the good players from the bad players. It shouldn't really ever be about realism or what makes sense. It should be about fun. Though, I think Bungie failed miserably in that respect. But, you have to remember that fun is subjective. There were complaints in Halo 2 about being BR'd without the ability to do anything with their SMG (although that was completely due to SMG-only starts; silly Bungie). But, Bungie was trying to make their game more balanced and therefore more fun. In this case, they balanced their game around spawning with an ineffective close-ranged weapon. A better design decision would've been to up the range of the close-ranged weapons and balance around spawning with an effective mid-ranged weapon. Unfortunately, Bungie forgot about the one thing that they keep telling us, that fun is subjective. They should be designing their game so everyone can enjoy, and with the current design of the BR, they failed; not even longtime Bungie fans who passionately believe the M6D Pistol was overpowered agree with the BR's spread. But, it keeps the people who strive to become AR pro happy, I suppose.
Anyhow, I'm having a much more enjoyable experience with Red Faction:G. I don't have to deal with all the design flaws that Bungie provides or the constant poor connectivity issues. And, I can play my favorite gametype (CTF) without any of these other BS gametypes that we see in Halo 3. Oh, and did I mention you can fight off the spawn in most games (with the AR). Every weapon is useful and no one thing dominates; performance is rewarded by the skill and tactics of the gamer.
