Ok, The BR:
Pros: Can't think of any
Cons: 1. Bullet Travel ruins it in Halo 3, (thanks to the stupid community who complained about getting killed across the map in Halo 2, so then Sage decided to nerf it)
2. At LONG range, none of the bullets register
3. At MEDIUM range, it takes about 6-7 headshots to kill
4. At CLOSE range, it takes about 4 headshots to kill, (does this make ANY sense?!?)
5. The gun just doesn't sound good at all, sounds like a toy gun rather than a real gun.
6. Body-shots do NOTHING.
Ok, the AR:
Pros: 1. It is a perfect short-medium range gun
2. Good enough accuracy
Cons: 1: Takes almost an entire clip at mid-range
2: Is only an amazing weapon at close-range.
3: A little too over-powered at close-range.
Now let me rant about other weapons, The Magnum:
Pros: 1. Absolutely nothing
Cons: 1. 6 headshots to kill, (what else to say?)
2. Short fire rate,
3. Hard to use at close-range
4. Only good to use to pop a headshot after weakening the shields, (oh wait, you die because it takes too long to pull out)
My question? These are the three MAIN weapons of Halo 3, why make them suck? It urges people to use power weapons instead, which birthes campers, which ruin matchmaking.
Halo: Reach weapon discussion (from the beta)
The AR:
Pros:
1. Great weapon, always used it for medium to short range kills.
2. It sounded like a REAL gun,
3. It went perfect for a beat-down right after kill,
4. Nice reticle
Cons:
1. It is a little like an SMG, (accuracy)
The DMR:
Pros: 1. Great LONG-RANGE WEAPON,
2. Bullet Travel isn't a factor
3. Reticle Bloom makes it much easier and fun to use,
4. Great for Headshots
Cons: 1. A LITTLE too long of a wait between shots, enemies can run away at medium to short range.
2. Has a little recoil
3. Always took an entire clip to kill somebody.
The new Magnum Pistol:
Pros: 1. Scope, 'nuff said
2. A fun weapon to use,
Cons: 1. From my POV, a little over-powered, maybe not, but the fire rate was a little high, just a little.
2. Could have used as a primary weapon rather than a side arm,
3. Found myself using it more than the Assault Rifle
Melee System:
Halo 3: Results in double beat-downs most of the time,
Halo: Reach: More fast-paced action packed meleeing, took more skill to use.
A thing to say, Reach's three main weapons WORKED, and I rarely encountered campers and/or power-weapon whores.
That is all I have to say.
