Ranked Perfection

It's a good thing Bungie changed the Battle Rifle it's more random and inconsistent (according to you. I haven't noticed a change) this forces people to use other weapons and move around the map to collect these weapons instead of just spawning with the only gun you will ever use. So now the overall game is more challenging and takes more skill to play. I can only assume that this is what Bungie wanted therefore IT IS PERFECT.
Randomness does not equal more or less skillful. It equals random. Meaning that the winner of a 1 on 1 battle is determined by a random number generator. This is even true within the usefull parameters of the BR. The random spread of the BR does not cause players to use other weapons. It's still used just as much as H2, if not more. In H2 people still picked up the shotgun, sniper, sword, and dual weildable weapons because they were easier to use than the BR. The BR was not overpowered, nor was it the "end all be all" weapon you H3 BR lovers proclaim it to be. I don't want the H2 BR back, and you seriously need a new f-ing argument. In H2 the BR did what it was supposed to do. It did what any assault style rifle is designed to do. Provide support from basic infantry troops. When used in tandem two BR wielders is devastating, but one alone isn't really that special in H2 or 3. It was ok at long range, as in able to consistently ping a sniper from accross a long distance. Unlike the H3 BR which may or may not ping said sniper, even from accross guardian. It was ideally suited for medium ranged combat in H2, which the H3 BR falls short of. Short range combat was not suggested because of power weapons such as the sword, or shotgun, but was doable thanks to button glitches like BxR, and BxB. I'm glad these button cheats are gone in H3 because the BR was never intended to work so well at close range. The H3 BR was castrated. The button glitches were removed (thank god), and it's range was shortened (no complaints there), but when the random spread was added to the equation it only served to shorten the effecive range of the BR so that it only truely works as a short range weapon. I really don't know what's so hard about this to understand. I don't even give a crap if the keep the random spread in the damn game. What I, and many others, want is for the option to tweak the spread of any weapon to be added to custom gametypes.
***EDIT*** Oh and you didn't notice the difference because you didn't know how to use it yet in H2. You, sir, are the prime example of what has happened to the Halo franchise. In Halo 2 your highest skill is a 15. Other than that you don't have one over 10, yet somehow in Halo 3 you're a level 46 brigadier. I understand that people get better over time, but it seems to me that over 1400 games of Halo 2 you could do better than a 15, if in only 2,000 games in H3 you've reached 46.
