Hey, where's all the ignorant nimrods that always seem to appear in other threads?
GASP! Could it be that they are staying away from a thread where they might actually have to contribute instead of whine? No way!
Nope, the pinned topic threads are harder to see. If you call the 65+ pages of posts in Zach's thread 'whining", then you sir are as ignorant as Bungie.
If you'd perhaps like to know that was not aimed at you. It was aimed at those whose typing resembles this:
Br iZ teh B3sT uzzz n00b555!!!!!!!!!11111111!!!!!!!!!11
You are much more sensible.
But to the point, removing the random spread is removing a real world, real life concept. Thus detracting from realism. In real life, sometimes it's based on luck too. You're lucky Bungie didn't incorparate wind and air resistence, not to mention gravity. That would be interesting.
in my opinion a game set 100s of years in the future can have all "realism" go out the window. I mean its a fictional game, its not a real setting or in a real pleace or time period that we have encountered, its PURE FICTION. Which lets them pretty much be able to do whatever they want. And the humans have new technologies all through out the game, so why does the battle rifle have to be "realistic", i mean they couldnt have theoretically developed a rifle that had no spread?
and that leads me to another point. why change it in h3? it was an accurate pin point weapon in the last two games, why try and go "realistic" in the last one.
also a point about realism and game play. take a look at CoD4, probably the one of the most realistic modern war shooters to date, and look at the most popular weapon in that game, the M16 (pretty much the cod4 BR), and look at that gun it shoots straight shots every time, now why did they do that? yeah cause a weapon that contributes to the game play of the game is better than a "truly realistic" weapon.
