Can someone please tell me how many Halo books there are right now and how many are coming and when they're coming. Also what the titles are and a brief discription about them or just some links. I know its alot but I was thinking of buying some of them so if someone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

The Fall of Reach: A preqeal to the game Halo.

The Flood: Storyline of the game Halo, but with dialog of Human and Covenant characters.

First Strike: Takes place between Halo and Halo 2.

My personal oppinion is, First Strike and The Fall of Reach are without a doubt amazing books. They explain alot about the Halo universe, but at the same time they are really good reads. The Flood is written by a different author, and in my opionion, it isn't as exciting as the other two books... it's still worth picking up though:)

The Flood is by Eric Trautmen, not Nylund, which explains why it isnt as good as the prequal or the sequal.

Hey one other question does it matter the order you read them in, because I was thinking about reading First Strike 1st and I mean am I going to be kind of confused by some of the stuff in them by not reading the other two before?

There is so much explained in The Fall of Reach. Out of the three books it's probably the most informative about the Halo universe. I really think you would be lost if you didn't read it first:). Don't think of it as a prequel though. The Fall of Reach and First Strike are really one huge story. They are very conneced, and one leads right into the other. Think of it like Kill Bill vol. 1 and 2.
