Anyone heard of the new Nintendo game in development called: Odama? Well let me tell you what the gameplay consists of: players launch a giant rock ball at their enemies, crushing their defenses and converting troops to their side. While one player mans the flippers, a second player can rally the troops by playing drums on the Donkey Konga Bongo controller. Is the world really ready for this Nintendo? Has Nintendo pushed the envelope over the table, onto the floor, through the cracked tile and into Hell? Tell me what the B.net boys and girls think.

This game is for real, my source is pg. 107 of the July issue of GI.

In my opinion all Japanese games are crazy to different degrees. Nintendo just happens to be one of the worst. Why is Metroid Prime relatively sane? It was developed in Texas.

yoo•zel- ('yoo-zhul): slang: vb.

Officium quod Fidelitas.

Zelda wasn't bad, but they should not have gone with cell shading for the new one.

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

That still doesn't explain why Metroid Prime is relatively sane.

Actually, I played Odama at E3. It was fun. It's like pinball, except it's a gigangtic pinball and there's a lot of people on the playing field.

Now I regret having a midterm the same week as E3 :(

Aww, that's nuts. I just googled Donkey Konga Bongo and saw that for the first time. Except for that bizarreness, the game sounds like it might be fun; don't knock it 'till you try it. It definitely sounds like it's aimed at a younger crowd than us, though. Keep that in mind if you decide to try it so you can talk about it.

How's the gameplay?

If it's good enough to bypass my insatiable desire for sex and guns that is part of being an American I'll give it a try - I've got a GameCube on loan to me from my friend who never wants it back.
