I mean the whole Cheif was kiddnapped as a kid. The others Spartians are dead. It's starting to depress me...

I always saw the bright colors of Halo as uplifting. The whole back story is a bit depressing....

And why wouldn't they just train the clone as a spartian?

In the books, it explains the clones are prone to mental disabilities.

Either way, the books are nice. I actually picked up a theme from Halo and it's books, something I thought only came from pure literature. The depth the books give it is nice. I liked learned about Reach and MC's real purpose, and how the Flood explained a lot of things that didn't make sense in the game.

The Halo books are not Pulitzer Prize worthy. I have only made it through the intro of Reach and I can already see it is done in a very simple writing method. The books are written so middle school students can read them.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Yeah they kind of explain alot of the unknowns out there. Got my grand pops into halo cuz of the books

i thought the books were awesome too. They gave the history of MC. i thought i was the only one who was really into them. My friend showed me one part and i told him he better let me borrow it... he gave me fall of reach and i was finished the next nite. i thought it was insane.

I will be the first to admit that I HATE reading. I never liked English class because of it. I absolutely hated taking AP Language...but I LOVED the Halo books. They are actually interesting to me.
