Send me a group invite, and I shall return a harsh reply. Do not invite me to groups. I do not accept. Don't believe me? Look at the list of groups I'm in right now. Consider this your warning.
The Clan system is still there, but they are relics of an age past. There is no longer any playlist for clans, so it is practically pointless to be in one. Even when they did have playlists for clans, the system had a few serious flaws and wasn't widely used. As such it took too unreasonably long to find a match. There are still a few fanatics though that do play Halo 2, mostly because it was faster paced. In halo 3 with the additions of bubble shields, regeneratorss, and power drains, etc. a firefight that used to take 3-5 seconds, now takes as much as 15 or more, and often yield indecisive results. In Halo 2 it was rare for a firefight to last more than 10 seconds and there was, in 99% of the cases, a clear winner and loser. In Halo 3 if my shields are down, I drop a power drain to cover my escape, and I and my attacker both live. On the other end of the spectrum, we both melee, and we kill each other. And even when we do have a clear winner and loser, it isn't uncommon for it to take10-15 seconds or more. Having said that, in Halo 3 the slower pace makes it much more tactical and less gun and run.
