I just wanted to know what you all thought. I believe there should be four; one for each Halo. That way the threat of Halos will be ended for ever by the end of them games. (and it will give me lots and lots of Halo to play : )

I think that there should be more then 4 Halo's. I love the first Halo. I think they should have the 4 Halo's destroyed in the first 4 games, the covenant homeworld destroyed in the 5th, and Halo 6 should be a prequel to the first Halo.

if they start pumping out lots of halos, it will get old and stale, and it'd be obvious they're doing it for money...thats the reason anyone would make a game, but i mean, it doesn't feel like that for halo 2 and thats good enough..but if they made like, 4, it would suck...

It depends about how many new features are included in the game, and if the features are good enough to make a new game about. I'd hate to see Halo turned into a boring, repetitive game... imagine what the PS2 fanboys would be like...

I say let Halo 2 end it all. That would be the best way, but at the end make it another cliff hanger with no definite end to the war. I like cliff hangers like that. It leaves it open should they ever return to the Halo project.

I think the story should end at 2. But than make an all out Multiplayer online Halo for the next Xbox. That would be sweet. Like have 30 different levels. Whole bunch of guns, downloadable content. Yeah.

I think it should be like the Unreal series. Make 2 then strictly multiplayer no story games.

well they have to have a halo 3 for the xbox 2 so 3 sounds like a good number. make it into a trilogy.

i think that there should be more than 2, because the graphics are always going to be improving...one day we will look back and say wow, i wish Halo 2 had had the graphics that are out today....with advancements in technology and the AI of these games and graphics and everything else, it really would be a shame for them NOT to make at least one more to show the next step, setting another presedence in game making....

I hope halo2 ends the story, but i wouldn't mind prequels, spinoffs

My thumbsticks will be your Doom.... sorry 'bout that.
My Stats

It's all up to the story guys. It's not easy to keep cliffhangers going and still be interesting. I've heard Bungie in an interview at this years E3 say that the most fans will take away from this game will be the story. Apperently the story is the most kick-ass yet to date in the gaming world (like Halo CE already wasn't).

You could mention that other Bungie games have gone to the number 3 but in the end I think it depends on whenever the story is finished being told. Halo CE left so many unanswerd questions i find it hard to believe they could tie them all up in one sequel. The books just make things even more convoluted. I wouldn't be surprised to see it carry over onto the next Xbox system -with another Halo that'll rule all other next-gen games. Let it end there? Maybe, but one thing should be kept in mind and that is if a game makes money (much like a big-budget movie... infact, Halo's made more than almost any movie ou there) then you can almost garantee that'll they'll be back with a sequel. Think, if Microsoft is worried about it's console sales in the futute what's the one game it could ask for help and (again almost garanteed) to get it?

This won't ruin or hurt Halo as long as there are developers that are true fans and love the initial Halo experience.

I think that they should pump out as many as possible. I know it would get stale or w/e but if they keep making good one it wont get stale look at tony hawk games theres like a million of them and the newest one underground was awsome. I think halo is one of those series from how many day and hours if spent playing halo i think it would be hard to get old.
