They were all brilliant. The crosses were awful tonight though, shame about Rooney, could've been a different story. WELL DONE ENGLAND!!!!!

Don't congratulate them for being as awful as ever.

I don't agree with you at all, support your country Goweb.

OK, then, I'll support them for the rest of their time in Euro 2004 ;-)

Goweb, i'm not a football fan (infact i hate it usually) but when it's your country and they play well, they should have the support of the country behind them. It was a really good game from were I was (the college pub) and it's a pity to see someone like you talking like this about a great team. I admit, there were quite a few mistakes but it made the game all the more exciting surely? (except the penalties maybe)

Why? Why is he our captain? He is -blam!-! He has missed the last 3 penalties!! How?? Why???

If you think that was a good performance, then may God help you...it was their worst match of the tourney. Portugal deserved to win, even though England should have won (a legal goal disallowed).

You may like to listen to this. There's a bit of strong language though.

Okay, thats quite funny actually *cred given*. If you knew my second name, you'd know that I actually come from Ireland and that is who I support but I live in England. But I'm just saying you don't see many Germans, Italians or Swiss for example sl#gging off their country, you know? Oh well, end of argument. Lets just agree to disagree goweb, deal?

Part of being British is slagging yourself off. It's why we can also slag other people off.

perhaps you can expand upon the meaning of the word "slag," for those of us that aren't familiar with it.

It means we can pick on our selves quite well (good point goweb). It also means a woman who 'gets around' if you know what I mean (quite offensive if it's just sl@g on its own)
