<Spoilers for Halo: The Fall Of Reach Novel>

Did anyone but me notice that in the Fall of Reach book, Dr. Halsey says that all but 3 surviving Spartans are on Reach when the Covenant attack? Then in Halo, MC is made out as the last Spartan? What gives Bungie?

See theres this thing called READING ALL THE BOOKS INCLUDING FIRST STRIKE. In Halo, the PoA doesnt know if there is Spartans remaining on Reach (i will not tell you). Everything is explained in first strike with amazing detail.

Heh. It's all explained in First Strike and the Fall of Reach. I love them both, but I think I might like Fall of Reach better, I've read it more times. I don't own The Flood yet, and I don't know that I want to buy it, people say it's pretty lame. What do you guys think of it?

No I have not yet read First Strike, but the Fall of Reach said that there were 3 Spartans that WERE NOT AT REACH. I want to know what happened to those 3 Sparatans who were "otherwise engaged on fields of combat too distant to be easily recalled" (The Fall Of Reach, pg 240)

The Flood is just very very repetitive, and there's no real shock if you've already played the game.

Wow! I'm glad to see we are making some massive breakthroughs with the book series.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

The 3 Spartans were called back to Reach for the Spartans' special mission. They weren't there at the time that the Chief and the others were training in their armor to get used to the shield technology, but they probably got there later (after all, when Halsey said that, it was several days before Reach was attacked... they could've gotten there before the attack).

And the Master Chief wouldn't forget a fact like that. If those 3 weren't at Reach, he wouldn't have had so much doubt that he had a team left. But, a year ago, I thought the same thing you do.

Thats just what I think. It hasn't been proven, so I could be wrong.

Greenday, grow up. We don't have time for your immature little insults. If you haven't read the books, don't read posts titled about the books.
