Hello,

I just got Halo for the PC the other day and I'd like to adjust my mouse sensitivity below "1". In Unreal Tournament 2004, for example, I have my mouse sensitivity set at 0.3.

My mouse is an 800dpi Logitech which works great. However, presumably due to the increased resolution, I have to set my mouse sensitivity significantly lower than I used to with my microsoft mouse. Even if I lower my motion setting in the Windows control panel to the lowest setting it's still too fast for my tastes for Halo and Far Cry. Actually, it was too high for every FPS I play. As I said though, I've been able to get things to where I want them for Unreal (and Quake III) by messing with the appropriate files (user.ini for UT and q3config.cfg for QIII). Hopefully I can do the same with Halo and Far Cry. In Halo, it presumably has to be somewhere in "Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo." I looked around at some of the files, but it was not obvious to me which file was the right one.

It also might be nice to copy the necessary file or files so that I can quickly bring my settings from one computer to another.

I would greatly appreciate any help with this.

Thank you,
J

Check out your

"My Documents\My Games\Halo CE\savegames\"

folder.

Why do you need it any lower? I always set mine to the highest so I can turn around and return fire. Ah sorry this didn't help.

You could also adjust the Halo's sensetivity settings... go to the Preferences, head to the Mouse settings, then adjust as needed.

Thank you, Lunous. I actually already have both the horizontal and vertical sensitivity settings in the settings menu as low as they will go. That's why I would like to get in to the file itself to lower it further than the settings menu allows.

You'll need something like a hex editor to do it.
