Holy nut balls batman. That was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I first thought, "oh man, this is super nerdy" but wow. That is amazing.

We are all going to be working for this kid one day.

I'm a guy, I'm 15, and click on my homepage to see my AWESOME 360 cooling fan.

sure i laughed but fair play to this guy. must have took him a long time and the models are pretty convincing.

well done

Nope, watch the "smg tutorial" on his channel. he says himself, it takes "five minutes" to make one.

omfg give that kid recon!!

  • 07.10.2008 7:33 PM PDT

Unfamiliar territory has become familiar.

I say give the kid recon. Anyone willing to sit down and make almost all of the weapons out of cardboard and still manages to preserve that level of detail deserves at least the helmet.

  • 07.10.2008 7:37 PM PDT

Did you see that some of them can reload and have ammo.

  • 07.10.2008 7:38 PM PDT

You are right, lukems, that kid truly does put you at a loss for words. Beyond awesome.

  • 07.10.2008 7:40 PM PDT

Godspeed.

Now let's see him make a life-size Halo out of cardborad.

lololololol haha.

that kid is awesome

The name's Ian, Game Designer at Whisper Game Studios, very off-and-on Bungie.net visitor and avid Bungie fan overall. Message me if you wish.

I could never match what this kid has done. You have to scale it out correctly and shape it perfectly, it's just something this man has a talent for. Now VIRTUAL objects, that's a different story...

EDIT: If the kid made an actual size battle rifle, it would be litterally bigger than him. No lie, have you seen them in the game next to marines? the marines range from 6ft - 6ft 5in. The BR is still either 1/2 the size or 3/4 of the size of the marines. he's about 5' 5", 5' 6... All the weapons should be bigger than him. But I'm not critiscising, just sayin that the only thing that could make it more real would be the size and being able to shoot it.

It's quite funny, really.
Once Lukems posts this video on the front page, cardboard weapons made by some kid are "cool" and "creative", but a few days ago it was "sad" and "pathetic", just shows how two-faced our community really is.

Das wunderkind indeed... sure everyone can make critics about this boy, but truly no one in the halo community has shown its passion for the game like this. Pure genious. This is the the most hardcore and devoted halo fan ive ever seen. Dear luke this guy deserves recon, if he doesnt then truly no one does. Best halo clip ever.

This kid might have too much time on his hands, but... those are really cool. Especially the reloading. Recon, guaranteed.

This kid has got talent......i seen this video a few days ago in the Halo 3 Forum. I mean that takes time and dedication to sit down and make all those. He has got some mad skills. But sadly this kid probably doesn't have any friends and get picked on a lot! So hey nice job with getting on the Bungie front page, but go out make some friends, get a girlfriend, or find a new hobby.

by the way......i think this truly deserves the helmet.........(the turret looks so real)

  • 07.10.2008 7:56 PM PDT

That's pretty well the second most awesome thing I've ever seen.

I actually knew a kid that did this, but made it even more detailed and to scale, sadly we would play tag with them...

  • 07.10.2008 7:58 PM PDT

Holy smokes, he has just about every weapon and his own armor. He even made the clips that can be removed from most of the weapons and a pump for the shotgun in the works. The machine gun turret was pretty amazing. Something tells me this young man will be designing things of this nature in his profession in the near future. Truly impressive.

I LOVE HALO 3!!!!!!! I beg you to tell me a game that is better. Then at that point I will argue with you until you realize you don't make any sense.

You have got to admire his craftsmenship and dedication. Give this kid recon

First off, id like to say OH MY GOD!! Thats freakin' hilarious! Awesome job man High fives all around. Seriously dude, if you were to go on the red green show imagine the things that could be made from cardboard and ducktape.

Secondly Ive read this forum through and i see that most of the negative comments come from people at the very beginning either meaning A) These are the people who sit there and keep refreshing the bungie home page waiting for some scrap of news or community input which they can criticize to make themselves feel better about their own shortcomings. or B) exactly the same as "A" except doing all this while trying to make their own cardboard weapons.

Basically, if you hate this kid for enjoying being a kid, then I hate you for being a jerk-wad.

Chief vs the scarab? I find that hard to believe to roundhouse boot the scarab's figurative emotion out of the gaming zone.

That's easily one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

  • 07.10.2008 8:14 PM PDT

omg lol omg

wow i wish i had those weapons but i would never admit i made them.
lovable nerd

  • 07.10.2008 8:18 PM PDT
