I found it funny that he mimics the Halo animations so well, especially the sword.
He's going to look back on this in a few years and discover where his childhood went.

I grew up playing your games Bungie, and I sure as hell am looking forward to whatever you decide to do next.

Luke, I hope you realize you HAVE to give this kid Recon now. You've prolly just made his life a lot harder. The least you could do is give him a reward for your blatent destruction of his youtube inbox.

I think the bar for getting recons just went up boys...

Oh my god. At first I was impressed and then when he pulled out the turret and rocketpod my jaw dropped. By the time they finally start production on the Halo movie this kid will probably be designing the props and costumes.

Good luck kid, great project. Keeps you out of trouble anyways.

How I got mine: Frank Helsing

Wow, simply amazing! That kid is going to be president one day. If Recon is for those with community spirit and who impress Bungie, then that kid should get like a special cardboard edition of Recon or something for his fandom. 5/5 That kids awesome!

I'm not sure if those recreations are jaw-dropping or it's just his showmanship, but either way I was enthralled throughout the video.

Agreed. After all that effort, he should get speically designed cardboard armor with strobe lights shooting out.

Nunquam regressus, Nunquam succumbo, Decerto! God Bless America and may America Bless God. God will honor those who honor him. Let me ask you just one question, when He comes...will you be saved?

This kid is a freakin awesome genius. I really want to meet him. I was in complete aww that entire video. And all of you f-bomb losers out there should realize that he is way smarter, way cooler, and probably better at Halo then you. He is going to be a rich Engineer of some sort whne he grows up. Plus he is only a kid. Cut him some slack. I sure hope he got some Recon for that. Keep it up kid. Paint all of the guns and stuff appropiately and paint the suit Blue. Send me a Friend Request too if you want. lol

I don't want random messages (ie, Join my group, etc). I have begun blocking solicitations.

Nope, watch the "smg tutorial" on his channel. he says himself, it takes "five minutes" to make one.
While it probably didn't take too much longer than the original, its always faster to make a copy than the original.

The support weapons could have been bigger, though.

The kid pretty much has a future job in the props and models division, though lets hope he's got friends as it seems he spends a little too much time with cardboard.

EDIT: And Im sure the color that gets voted on on YouTube is gonna be pink (cough-lightish red-cough) or purple.

i saw this on theforum on a week ago, im not totaly ripping on him for doing that, i kinda just hope people dont make to much fun of him on the outside life,
but on the other hand i do think he might want to....restrain himself from the vidio games as you can see his SLIGHT obsession with halo 3.....

  • 07.10.2008 10:04 PM PDT

I want you to die a slow painful death.

Wow,

for a kid using cardboard those are pretty amazing! They look just like the weapons in the game. I would love to see how they look when they are all done and painted.

Hey bungie, I know it's none of my business, but I vote that this kid deserves some shinny new recon armor!! Any kid who can sit down put so much effort and time into something that cool, deserves something just as awesome!

I think this kid is freakin brilliant. I hope he gets Recon armor, fo shizzle. And for the people telling him he is a nerd, geek, etc: they can just shut up. Seriously. He is a pretty die-hard fan. I will hurt the next person who calls him a nerd, geek, no life loser, etc. You're all a bunch of lame asses anyways.

Kudos to him! :]

Chill out guys the kid is like 10 years old, thats what you do when your a kid.

When I was 10, I played video games. In addition, I played baseball, basketball, soccer, hung out with friends, rode my bike, skied, played percussion, and read books. You know, did a variety of things.

This isn't enthusiasm. This is obsession.

I have a thing, see??

That was oddly inspiring. To spend that much time to make something like that, for no benefit but for his own enjoyment. Some people say, "There are better ways to spend your time," but he probably had a ton of fun making them, and even playing with them, and he's probably better for it, vs the 10 million other things he could have been doing, like watching tv or, erm, playing video games. Imagination like that is rewarding in and of itself.
