I recently got a 512MB ATI Radeon HD 3650 and installed the latest drivers, went into Halo, turned all the setting to high, but when i play it, there are numerous glitches and it just doesn't look as good as it could. On my previous system it ran fine with a 256MB ATI Radeon 9600 XT. Does anyone know why this could be?

Is it graphical glitches? Like far away textures glitching?

The only actual glitch I've see so far is when I was playing through the Silent Cartographer. I got to the Cartographer, and the mirror floor was really... odd. I'm not really sure how to explain it but it was going in and out of being reflective and just weirding out on me. But the majority of it is just the over all quality is just lower than on my older card. Like in AotCR, the glass floors in the hallway when you start didn't look like they were there unless I stood over them, but i saw this big black dot right under me that followed me as I moved.

ATI drivers really hate halo on some occasions. Try different drivers. I'm sure there are ones found to work well, but you'll need to do some digging. DXTweaker might help also.

I can't really get a good shot of the wierd reflection floor, but here's the glass hallway floor in AotCR: http://s340.photobucket.com/albums/o336/docboybob/?action=vie w&current=ugh.jpg

It's a little bit dark, though.

OH OH OH. I've been looking through this whole board and you are this is the closest description of my problem i've seen. You suggesting it makes me think this has been seen before. What is the fix?

I'll make another thread if no one responds, but i figure i would try here first.
