playing on halo co-op allows people to never die. You can back off and respawn. Not fair especially when people brag about beating halo on legendary and then you find out they did it in co-op mode. It is much harder by yourself. How cheap.

technically, u don't die in single player either. it just takes u back to a checkpoint, and there's never a "game over" type message.

When did you figure that out, Sherlock? Halo 2 should have proof that you beat by yourself and not in Co-op.

it is pretty lousy, personally i've never used it as an 'yeah i beat it on so and so' claim, to me thats just... stupid. at least have the balls to admit you needed to use some guy as bait to get through it hehe

whatever i meant more along the lines that you have to constantly go all the way to the last checkpoint when you die in single player, while in coop you can just run back out of danger and your partner will respawn. Thats all.

yeh, but the engine is hardly forgiving with the respawn times, at times. i've had incidents where i've been waiting for ages, simply because my 'teammate' is in combat or there were 'too many enimies nearby' [count them: 1]

i dont think its that big a deal, anyway, why are you complaining about something most would consider a GOOD thing? [ie, not having to backtrack over miles of game terrain]

i dunno, mostly cus i have no one to play co-op with so i have to do it all myself. Anyways I guess it dont really matter anyways since ive beat the game twice. Its still the greatest game ever created for xbox. It was my first game for xbox and will always be my favorite, unless halo 2 is all that its supposed to be.

Both co-op and single player are great, co-op splits the screen in half so u dont get the full effect of the visuals.so i recommend single player for ur first time playing the level.

co-op isn't cheap i actually beat the assult on the control room faster by myself than i did in co-op its because there was more enemies when you play co-op

Co-op play is cheap if you do it to brag about completing the game sure. But it's good that it's there as it's also damn good fun playing with a friend.

And yes I have finised on legendary solo as well as with my brother and friend.

Man, co-op is three time as hard as single player. ever played co-op with someone who isn't that good at halo? i sure have. it's always like: "aaaaaaaaah save me!!!!!!!" so i move in to save his sorry arse, and then he chickens out, leaving me in a room full of covenants. And then there those marines i got to save as well...... trust me, single player is much easier.

I always find Single Player a lot easier. In co-op I find games like 'Assault on the Control Room' and 'The Library' to last longer because we always try to take out all the enemies and do the level as cleanly as possible (save as many Marines as possible is just one example).

Doing most levels in Co-op actually increases the time it takes in most cases. As instead of dying and going back to the last checkpoint (like in single), the surviving player runs back and trys to respawn the other. This can actually take longer than reverting to saved and having another crack at it.

Cheap? Its fun. Though saying "oh yeah i beat the game on legendary, i'm teh r0xorz" when you did it on co-op is stupid. Legendary is fairly easy on co-op but some parts can still be challenging. Me and my friend can never get to far without degrading it into a spartan vs spartan killfest because one of us accidently killed the other. I normally only kill my partner if he intentionally steals my stuff, or intentionally kill me. So sometimes I kill him alot

I only play co-op when i feel sorry for the other guy watching me play. In that case i'll let him play on co-op. And yes i've lots of guys who brag about finishing the game on solo "you cant do it wah wah wah" They really puss my limits!

I use Co-op for glitches.

i like coop because if my healt gets low, i'll go in with a roket launcher and grenades. then you blow everyone to smithereens, and respawn

Most probably losing the weapon in the explosion.

It can be cheap, but it can also be really fun. Like, just have two controllers active, but have only yourself, then you can play it with lots of explosives. It gets pretty fun, and it can be a nice altrernative to the same old legendary style of play. And yes, I have beaten the game on legendary, and I do think that no one should be able to brag about beating it on co-op, or single player for that matter. It's pretty easy. The only part I can use to get better is the Rockside Megabattle on Legendary. And that's to get better with all the weapons. So when come time for XBL on Halo 2, I'm ready.
