While playing halo 1 w/ a friend of mine everyonce in a while we will betray eachother "by accident" Especially in a heated respawn battle in say rat race or longest. What i hope they implement in halo 2 is a friendly fire option kinda like in rainbow 6:3. Where you cant betray your partners/teammates. This would solve a lot of team killing and un needed betrayals...

Yeah, I hate that. but what I hate the most is people that do it on purpose.

2. I wouldn't like it. Halo is a mix of reality and un-reality. Accidental friendly fire happens real life. In a war, if someone gets in another's line of fire, do they get hurt? Yes they do.

personally i have never had that problem, and when it does happen i get pissed for a second and MOVE ON, they dont need a freindly fire option in the game, it just is SCREAMING "lets bow down to the noobs of halo" and waste time implementing a friendly fire option

edit:

i agree completely with halodude

No, this post can stay here. He (or she) is hoping that there will be an anti-betrayal function in Halo 2.

they should leave it how it is. When a member of my team in team CTF does not obey my instructions and goes AWOL, i will hunt him down and kill him. This option makes the game more realistic.

once i was part of a CTF team and one of my own team members killed me for my sniper rifle, he never should of done that because i kept on killing him, he died the most times, i think it was 38 times.

If they betray you, just wait and be patient. And when the time comes, when the moment is most crucial...REVENGE!!!!.

thank you spartan 00029 , and i am a guy. why do these kids have to come in here and think they are moderators. none the less i think it would be a fine idea to have anti - betrayal (friendly fire) option

Betrayals are a noob problem, however they will fix the bull-blam!- problem with people respawning right under you and dying from an enemy grenade thrown long before that the victim can't do anything about.

How many times have you died on the respawn not even knowing what the hell killed you. They should fix the respawing problem and that should prevent free kills to enemies and betrayals.

Maybe if they respawned you at random places or even away from your teammates suprising enemies and campers.

I play halo comp so people dont care about being -blam!-. They always do stuff to annoy and it gets annoying. Good idea

if possible maybe we can pick our own spawn points around our base prior to the game being started. only bad thing is if someone learns your spawn point you picked that would be bad. Maybe prior to game start in the lobby we can pick 3 or 4 spawn points that will randomly spawn you were you want to be....

it would be rediculous to not have friendly fire. cause than you just walk into a crowded room where a fire fight it going on with a rocket launcher and a few gernades. in a couple seconds you can rack up your frags and not have to worry about killing your buddies. just ruins the whole suspense and strategy. same is true for SP. what is to stop you from launching a rocket at your buddy who is surrounded by elite. makes it more challenging and more practical to just have friendly fire.

Well, if shortcut didn't call me a "kid who thinks I'm a mod" I wouldn't be ticked. He could have been nice about it like Spartan 00029.

the respawn places ARE random, but seriously the last time i encountered a Tker on MY team was probably over a YEAR ago, and most people do not come in contact with many TKers, so BUgnie in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM is going to change the game like that, and like people have said, ITS MORE REALISTIC with friendly fire......

if you dont like it DUCK!

christ i never said i didnt like it. i just thought it would be a nice option. from playing on xbc w/ halo 1. and playing rainbow 6:3 on xbox live, there is a lot of immature lil bastids running around thinking its funny. in halo 1 the spawn points are random yes. But there are only so many for each level and if you are good enough you know where to start throwing grenades after you kill someone. i just figured it would be a nice option to have where you can toggle it on or off pending on who is hosting. i can almost guarantee it is already an option.

yeah, just wait for them to be on a flag run... about to score... WHACK! melee right in the back of the head, you pick up flag, score

that is another thing i have noticed on halo 1. People team kill to get the flag so they can brag about their stats at the end of the game that they returned more flags than anyone else

Sometimes we don't have options. The dude that brings his XBox to my LAN parties has ADD, and kills his teammate if he gets really bored.
