Every game I go into I get dropped from, this started happening a long while ago, probably 3-4 months. It started with me not being able to get into games; ram defiantly helped that, now I'm up to 256 MB. Then I started getting dropped in the game itself. It doesn’t matter what map, or how many people are in the game, I still get dropped 100% of the time. I’ve joined games with no people in it *except for me* and still get dropped. I can enter a game where I fill it up *even a 15 player game* I go for a minute or few then I get dropped. It’s quite frustrating.

Specs:
1.7ghz Celeron
256mb ram
64mb onboard video *yay! Gray people all over! *
Connection speeds at around 46kb *its a modem, I live in the middle of no where*
Blah blah for rest of specs, its a connect problem

Oh, another thing, if I create my own game, I stay connected to it, until someone joins then the disconnect timer starts going down. My normal ping that I used to get, *halo, Starcraft, any online game* was ~200-250 *yes, I’m one of those (_bl|am_) who joins a game with a modem

you just answered your own question.
no offence, but halo sucks on any 56k system, and you getting dropped is a result of this problem

BUT I wasn't getting dropped before, not at all. Same thing with my starcraft game, I can't stay connected, I always get dropped now when I didn't before.

Thinking...

Around when it started... I did install a new modem, it was an el chepo that my mom bought for it, could it be this pos modem?
