are the people on Halo 2 PC absolutely horrible when compared to the xbox? It's almost boring to play because every game I join there's maybe one or two people close to me. I'm a horrible sniper on the xbox, yet I can join a sniper game and never finish worse than 2nd, even when joining late...

There are horrible people and really good people.

I have yet to find any really good people. I've probably played on 20 different servers and maybe found 2 or 3 above average.

I've played on {XF}'s servers a bit. Most the regular players are jump noobs and whatever but I have seen pretty good players among XF as well as another guy called something along the lines of CoffeeVulture.

They're around, it just might be a good amount of them prefer Halo 1 instead.

I mainly play on the XF Sniper server. There are a couple of good people on it, but not many. I'll go on a couple other clan ones, and they are disappointing. I just can't seem to find the good people.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Erm, I don't think any serious gamer looking for fun or competition plays H2v. Maybe a few when the game came out, but not really anymore. It's a pretty crappy game when you compare it to other multiplayer shooters.

Most of the bad people you play against are young kids who bought the game and don't know any better. So basically the same type of people who bought H2 for Xbox and loved it b/c of how easy it was.

I wasn't really expecting a fan base like H2 had for the Xbox. But I still expected some people to buy the game who were good players. Or some people who were achievement whores and were going for the MP ones.

I think that alot of the really good players were turned off by the fact that if you use an X-Box controller to play this game, it gives that player an unfair aimbot-like "lock on" aiming advantage.
Everyone knows that the mouse+ keyboard combo is much preferred over the controller, so the best players abandoned this game

Another awesome idea from the small minds at Microsoft Gaming Studios. They screwed up Halo PC, and screwed up H2v even more. I mean they didn't even bother getting the game engine to run correctly at high frames. Ugh...
