Subject: Forum Idea for Gamertags

It has occured to me that it is sometimes very difficult to identify people who use Gamertags that are completely different from their Bungie Logins. Here's my grand idea.

I think it would be swell if linked gamertags that are enabled in a user's profile would also be displayed in parenthensis under their Bungie Login.

I think it would help with group/clan integration a lot by making it easier to identify the people you play with online with the people you chat with on the site. It would also be a quick link to a user's stats page, so it would be once click away instead of two, and it wouldn't be needed to add your gamertag to you forum signature anymore.

It's convienience all around. What do you guys think? (I cross my fingers that it's possible - it doesn't seem like much of a stretch.)

Can't see a problem with it. Good idea.

I think it's more important than searching. ;)

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

I like it. Seeing as how my GT (Mechmaster6) looks like a 12 year old made it up. People don't think i'm MCs Brother.

I didn't know that was you..

Anyway. My XBL name and Bungie.Net name are the same, so I guess this doesn't apply to me.

Shut up you fruit, no one wants to play oddball for 10 hours straight.

That would be nice becaue many people (including me) have gamertags that are nothing like their login names.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

This would be a cool idea. Halo53 has been my login everywhere since I signed up at this site over 2 years ago. I'll probably have to change it some day.

Yeah, that'd be pretty good, although my GT and Bungie.net name match here. "Sir Fragula" has always been my gaming name and "Walshicus" for general forums.

Ooh, I just had another thought along similar lines, but not as important. The clan name could also be displayed. But like I said, that's not all that important. I do really want to be able to ID people who have differing gamertags most of all.

Thats a standup good idea, Chris. And on a side note, at the risk of sounding noobish, I was wondering if someone could write out an example of a text hyperlink, you know the ones were you click on the word and it brings you to a group homepage or what not. I just need a fully written out example, becuz I know the "formula", I just cannot seem to get it right. I need a link in my sig for my Clan/Group homepage, thanks!

Mod Edit: Click "Edit Post" to see the exact code I used to create this link.
