Just a few minor things that irk me somewhat, and I reckon could do with being changed:

**Replace "Save and Quit" with 2 options: "Save" and "Quit", so that you don't have to restart your xbox if you just want to quit to the menu without saving, and so you don't have to quit if you want to save and then continue
**Make all cutscenes and intros skippable - as amazing as they are, there are times where you don't want to sit through them for the thousandth time. Also, in Halo, some were and some weren't, so lets have some consistancy
**Allow players to delete savegames and save a more than one checkpoint
**Make sure that level descriptions are not hidden when you have a saved game on that particular level
**Make players in the side seat of the warthog stand up, to allow 360 degree viewing so that a player can actually see and be of some use from this position
**Allow auto aim to be completely turned off; even with it "off", the reticle can still move by itself if an enemy wanders across your line of sight
**Randomise enemy positions, enemies, and things like dropship landings more to make the game less predictable, and provide even more replay value. **Add an extra difficulty setting between heroic and ledgendary to lessen the difficulty gap between them
**Allow players to brush past marines; sometimes they can get in the way and prevent you from taking cover quick enough.

Don't get the impression that I'm -blam!-ing about this, it's just a few small things that would make the game just that bit better.

Thoughts?

well you covered a lot of stuff, but I would also like to have more than one save on one level. So that you don't have to delete the one you have on legendary to play a different one on normal.

i completely agree with the auto-aim. when gearbox was porting halo to the pc, they said it made an amazing difference once they had turned it off. dont think it will happen though. now i expect the next reply to be "what the hell are you talking about! halo doesnt have auto aim!?" its does. very slight.

Maybe they would not be skippable the first time you play the level, but skippable everytime after that.

------YOU CAN'T TAKE A GIRL TO THE LIBRARY!------

auto-aim is different, you should notice sometimes someone is near your reticule it moves towards them slightly

Auto aim is a little annoying since you slow down when you targeting someone. So I think thats good to be able to turn on/off.

The Marines in the passenger seat does not have 360 degree visibility. Only the one in the LAAG does. I always had to reangle the Warthog to let the passenger in the front passenger seat have a line of fire(although his firepower was marginal compared to the LAAG).

But really, a passenger in the Warthog/Puma is a easy target, unless you have an non-human character shooting from there. No one really uses that often.

The extra difficulty level? Great idea. But it's Bungie. It's meant to be like that.

A couple things in the last few posts wouldent of made sense to me if I hadent already seen RvB episode 2 and re-read the halo manual. So LAAG is the warthog gun and warthog/PUMA is what tucker and griff called the warthog in RvB episode 2.

i only agree with the save and quit. the rest is just (sorry) -blam!-ing. just because the game is hard at some points, or annoying or watever, dont -blam!- ur problems 2 us.

i don't even agree with the save and quitting. Whats the point? It's just adding an extra step. I like the idea of having multiple saves per level, but "Save and Quit" should stay the way it is.

The marines don't stand in the side seat either. They sit on the headrest, or where the headrest is supposed to be. They can only see 180 degrees (or something like that, definitely not 360). I like a lot of the other ideas though.

-blam!-ing? He's just voicing his opinion! Lay off.

Another minor change I'd like to see is the option to turn the music off... In games that give that option, I usually play my own music with the game's SFX still on. It's really no big deal, but then again there's little excuse to not include it.

does everyone know what triggers the auto aim?

i did a little research myself to see what made the auto aim work sometimes and not others and i came to this conclusion.....

when you are getting completely owned in a game online the auto aim turns on and follows the person if he is not going too fast....this happens mostly in CTF games where one team can simply spawn camp the other....the worse team will then have auto aim......

if you have major problems with auto-aim turning on then you are most likely, horrible at Halo..

sidenote: i never noticed auto-aim in single player, and i dont think it exists, if it does i never noticed it and it never helped me anyway

No it's not that, even with auto aim turned off, the target reticle still wanders slightly when an enemy comes across your vision, and it's irritating.

The Marines in the passenger seat does not have 360 degree visibility. Only the one in the LAAG does. I always had to reangle the Warthog to let the passenger in the front passenger seat have a line of fire(although his firepower was marginal compared to the LAAG).

Hmm, I might be mistaken on the 360 degree vision, but certainly a wider range of vision. In the side seat, it's almost impossible to see anything, making the player in that position, useless. I'm not suggesting that Bungie somehow make that position superior to any other seat, but rather that they change it so the player can do something of use from that position.

I'm not -blam!-ing, if I were I would have written my post in a completely different tone. I have no real problem with the difficulty (having completed it on ledgendary), but the things I've mentioned can improve the game by removing minor annoyances.

**Make all cutscenes and intros skippable

Maybe they would not be skippable the first time you play the level, but skippable everytime after that.

Yeah, that's quite a good idea. That way Bungie's efforts on cutscenes don't go to waste, but you don't have to sit through them every single time you want to play a level.

i don't even agree with the save and quitting. Whats the point? It's just adding an extra step. I like the idea of having multiple saves per level, but "Save and Quit" should stay the way it is.

There are times when I just want to save a position for later playing, but still continue. Sure, I could just load up the save straight after, but it wastes time. And, if I don't want to save, the only way I can quit to the menu is by restarting my xbox, which is an even bigger waste of time. Perhaps the "quit" function can also ask if you want to save your game too.
