It would be frickin awesome but I dont know how it would even be possible. What if you could somehow have 2 aiming reticles and be shooting two different people at once. Just imagine how sweet it would look to storm into a base wielding dual SMGs pointing opposite directions and kill two mindless fools at the same time....wow

yeah youd need probably 2 MORE analog sticks.....

edit:

youd need auto aim for that to work basically.....and that will never happen.....

on XBL i'm Gangsta Assasin

maybe the D pad could be used to configure how you aim. 2 or three presets- normal, wide, and flank. normal is both guns pointing in the same direction. wide would be about a 60 degree angle between the weapons. wide would be a 170 degree angle between the weapons. i actually think that would be cool.

D-pad is most likely being used for the following things in Halo 2 already:

1) peeking left and right D-Pad left and D-Pad right
2) sprinting D-Pad up
3) prone(?) D-Pad down

it would be nice they could mix somehow the reticules so that it looks like a mixture of both aiming views.

YAH, prone is awsome, especially for snippers.

[color=gold] some one already said this and the solution we came up wiht in that post was somethign like auto lock on. wher you hold the reticle over a guy for a while and then it locks on and your right gun folows that target while your left goes where you aim. but i dont think that that is a good idea people who cant aim would be in heaven and the difference between an expert player and a begginer would shorten becasue of auto aiming. technically there was auto aim in halo 1, but it wasn't that sensative (thank you bungie), Just play split screen by youself and walk past the other player to see.

the auto aim doesnt work all the time.....it seems to only work if you are getting completely owned....especially in a long game of CTF.....

i went into split screen and entered in three players...i was one, and i played 1v2 CTF.....they were obviously standing still but i was checking to see what would make the auto aim turn on...once i had killed them like 30 times each i walked by them and their reticles started following me.....of course even then it doesnt really help, its just completely worthless and seems to only work when you are getting ur ass handed to you

i know there was auto aim but this is auto lock on the gun aims at the guy no matter where he is infront of you.

The difference is, your idea is cheap, and I would hate that. Lock on=no skill at all needed to lose by a little to The Frank.
