your right there has been no conclusive evidence that there will be old maps revised or not in any of the updates.

i EXTREMELY doubt that any of the old maps wont be in Halo 2.

There has been talk of unlockables in Halo 2, maybe the old maps are the unlockables. The way things sound though, the old maps might suck in halo 2. Like they arent built for dual wielding, or banshees, or turrets, or any other new feature bungie has up thier sleave. I would support Blood Gulch Hang Em and Sidewinder.

The idea of unlockables in games is downright terrible.... I hate it when a very anticipated part of a game is turned into the hardest lockable, and you have to do annoying steps just to play it... It sometimes brings down the games value as well..

Anyway, back to subject. The older levels in the game (majority) were way to simple for me... I think I thought prison was the best map (cannot recall if that's the actual name... Brother won't play halo with me any more and XB Connect is a waste of time... But this is what I believe each map needs to be ported to Halo two, with the exception of the obvious... (aka graphics boosts)

Blood Gulch
1. Make the level longer, and deeper (for flying vehicles)
2. Add more cover in the field
3. Make the bases... cooler... I'd rather have a decent sized base so it doesn't feel like your gaurding the sacred garbage bin.
4. Add more ways to places (aka, more tunnels, including infantry only underground tunnels)

SideWinder
1. Deeper (again, for flying vehicles)
2. Little additions to base to make it feel more, cooler to it I guess
3. additional cover

Prison
1. Leave it the same, I liked it the way it was (if there is anything I would change, it would just be to make it a bit longer)

Battle Creel
1. Keep a majority of it the same, just take advantages out of for the blue team (easier access to the RL, a personal medkit by their flag, more ways into reds base, ect.)

Boarding Action
change isn't nessesary

I really didn't like any other map now that I think of it.... There were ok ones, but nothing that really caught you eye.... Wizard, Chiron, Rat Race were way to basic... Hang em' High was a decent attempt but I never found it fun personally...

Actually, I didn't mind Longest that much, yeah there could be improvements... But It was decent/ok....

hmmm i think downloadible maps whould be sweet but i dont think it's fair to the ppl who dont have xbox live. I have it but if i wanna play it at my freinds house he wont have that map that i downloaded. They should put in all the halo 1 leavles in halo 2 so that way everyone is happy i want nothing changed so we can all do some more familair maps when we first start playing mp.

ummm...i think they should definitely put in the old levels that way we can sell halo 1,lol,im sure halo 2 levels will be better,probly in every way,but original is always good,and how else r we gonna reenact our favorite Red vs, Blue scenes without blood gulch in the second one,and we worked finding ways on top of those levels,and glitches inside of them(like the rock in blood gulch u can access with a warthog),and new levels probly wont have on top of level glitches,i like blood gulch and even with all these new and improved levels and flashy levels sometimes i would like some classic halo,just with the cool new guns,im not ready to let the old levels go without letting them have a chance for a banshee to fly around,and shooting smgs all over the place,or camping with the covie sniper(if they ever confirm one)
