i think the brute were never see on HALO because they only act as bodyguards. i think whereever there are brutes there will be prophets. and by what we know so far, they are strong as hunters but tought as elits.

Not really. I have seen videos of brutes protecting prophets. But if you watch the demo it has brutes running aorund instead of elites. And guess what. There wasnt a prophet around so your wrong and right. They do protext prophets but also are enemies liek the elites. They have almost the same role as elites.

I dont think they are bodygaurds. At the end of First Strike, a Brute was was a genereal talking to a Prophet, with a hole load of gaurds watching the prophet( Hundreds, I think they were Elites)

that is true what you are saying, but just because the book depicts such a picture does not mean it is so in the game.

I'm just saying there was Elites gaurding the Prophet. And the reason there was no Brutes in Halo was because bungie hadnt fully developed them yet.

Render ainmation on the documentary video. And a couple of pics of them together but still. That doesnt mean the job is to protect brutes.

Choice D: None of the Above

The Brutes are temple gaurds. Special crack Covenant Elites guard the Prophets, not the Brutes. Read First Strike more carefully it explains all of this.

It's called pulling out the stops. Every military does it. You keep that which is special and important back while the normal lackies go and do most of the fighting. Heck it wasn't until two months before Halo that we even saw a Hunter and at Reach when we first saw an Elite. Seems the Covenant are pulling out all of the stops on us poor humans.
