Well im planning to upgrade my graphics card in the near future, so any suggestions would help, im not familiar with the whole market of graphics cards. Im looking for something nice and hopefully below or around 200 dollars from ATI.

Also, for now im intersested in doing some overlclocking, ive got the tools to set "engine clock" and "memory clock," (is this what i use to overclock it?) BUT i dont know how to monitor the temperature. So i need some advice/help.

Well, I'm not a real fan of ATI, but I've heard that the X600 and X700 are good cards for under like $180.

As for NVidia, you could get a GeForce 6600 GT 128MB for like $170 at pricewatch.com. The 6600 is a really awesome card.

The overclocking software ATi gives you is piss poor. Get ATi Tray Tools from 3D Guru (search "3d guru" on google for the site).

However, you can overheat your card very easily with that program. There is no 'failsafe' to prevent you from oc'ing it a bit more.

6600GT is good. X700 is nice, X600, err, not too great, but it all depends upon the slot you have.

X700 PRO is ok. I can run Halo at 1280x1024 with everything on and usually vary from 30-70 fps.
