nice specs. there Neverhood, just to see what i'd do if i were ever a millionaire i went to Voodoo PCs website (the comapny that make the insane gaming PCs) and constructed myself a PC that cost $20,000 in Canadian dollars... But right now i use a GeForce FX 5600 XT with 512MB RAM on the computer and i have detail on high, particle effectson low, specualar off, shadiws off, and the blood & gore on. I'm still amazed at the graphics and enjoy the game very much even with these "low" settings. Ya i know it should be set higher but i blame my processor: Pentium 4 with ONLY 1400Mhz. It's the real black sheep of my computer, i'll have to eventually get a new computer altogether, u can't exactly replace a processor.

But 1 weird thing i did notice u can put the detail settings higher on multiplayer than on single player. With sp u get really slow, but the mp can handle the higher graphics.

$20,000 Canadian? Isn't that like $100 American?

No, just kidding. Wow, that's quite an expensive computer! I'd like to see the specs on a computer like that. You can also do something like that at Dell. My computer had 4GB RAM and like 1.2 TerraBytes of storage! It was like $8000.

You can replace processors and such, it's just a piece of crap job to do :P

Lol, anything over $2000 for a computer starts to scare me, over $3000 and it's too much. My friend has an $8000 Falcon Northwest computer with dual Nvidia 6800U's.

Thats one hell of a computer! You can't put just any cpu in you motherboard, only ones it supports. You will probably be able to buy a faster one but it might not be a big anough improvement to justify the cost. But if you can get one thats like 2ghz its worth it.

Completely off topic:
You can't have 1023mb of ram panda. They are always multiples of 8 if you havent noticed.
Has anyone seen the minimum ram requirements of everquest 2?! its 512Mb!!!!!!!!!!

Heyyo,

Lol @ $20 000 CDN is $100 USD! ohh man that's funny... funny funny. :)

Ok, the canadian dollar is worth like what? 82 cents american. So your numbers are WAAY off there buddy, lol, try again. :p

Ok, now, nicely said Gumball, they are indeed in increments of at least 8mb.. I thought it was 4 but I dunno for I am dumb. :)

Yeah, well everquest 2 will have some intense graphics, but that's NOTHING compared to Unreal 3.. currently, they say top of the line computers won't even be able to run it smoothly. The game's graphics are just too much. =D

http://www.unrealtechnology.com/html/technology/ue30.shtml

that game will be the most beautiful, and realistic game ever MADE yet. Bioware's already bought a licence for it, so expect a kickass RPG game to be made on the Unreal Warfare v3 engine. ;)

I'm gonna ballpark it n' bet n' say the minimum processor requirements will be an AMD AthlonXP 2000+, or Intel's 2.0GHz cpu, and a gig of ram. ;)

Well they are multiples of eight not increments of 8. I don't know if that is because its easy to make it that way or because 8 bits is a byte. That might just be a coincidence. Those pics look awesome don't they! I like bioware cause they made the baldur's gate series.

no, they're "exponentials" of 2:
2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, 16384, 32768, 65536 and so on...

Well, technically 1024MB, commonly called 1GB of ram, is usually a megabyte or so under the 1024. Everest Home reads mine as having 1023.
