I have no time for filling out information, I'm too busy... bein' delicious.

I took it into my windows movie maker, slowed it down and its a three clip thing of the superindentant flashing.

Also, my friend said he saw the superindentant on the banner on the right side of the page in the fourms.

Everyone needs to stop and think for a moment. This is a smart move by Microsoft. For one, this shows they can still be the center of attention without their main flagship franchise being center stage.

I would bet me left kidney that Microsoft had Bungie prepare in case Nintendo or Sony had a huge E3 press briefing with some big suprise announcement. If you saw both confereneces yesterday, they sucked compared to Microsofts (Sony's was alright but Nintendo's was an epic fail). Microsoft didn't need to pull out the big guns this time. Gears, FInal Fantasy, Fallout, and Fable were enough.

This isn't to say that I'm not as dissapointed as everyone else. I was really looking forward to the announcement. Then again, the new project is for sure the NTSC squad based shooter thats been rumored...so I'm not sure what everyone was expecting out of the announcemnt.

O.k I bet your right

is this true?

MS was absolutely embarrassed by what Bungie had to announce and show. The upper echelon made a command decision to forbid Bungie from showcasing their latest, upcoming title, due to "an overwhelming potential for embarrassment", even for an unfinished product. Bungie was informed that until they have something worth showing, keep the announcement on hold. MS apparently was appalled by the decision of Bungie to "even think of showing this off". What they have to show looks so bad, MS was just plain embarrassed to "show it off". Bungie may make an announcement if/when they can showcase a little of the product, as long as that show and tell doesn't involve "embarrassing visuals..."

So turns out that it may be a good thing this got put on hold. I cant imagine how bad this Bungie game must of looked for MS to stop the announcement, but it mustve been horrible

Ok, lets see... Name one thing from Bungie that was an embarrassment... now name one thing from MS that was an embarrassment...

Which one is easier to do?

Definetely Microsoft, though Myth II's uninstall catastrophy was a pretty big deal (though they did catch it. Good for bungie)

Know what I find funny? Is that the page with the countdown yesterday, as the home page. It said things like "Expect Delays" and stuff. I wonder...

Death is only the Beginning

Man... those must have been some HUGE snags to hit to retract from the announcement. I know I speak for alot of people on this one in saying that we are all disappointed, but there was something wrong that we may or may not ever know. Truely are hard day for Bungie indeed.

So now I'm a beta tester. Let's see where this goes.

That's 10 pounds of hard luck in a 5 pound bag.

Sorry Bungie.

And the Shadow fell upon the Land, and the World was riven stone from stone. The oceans fled, and the mountains were swallowed up, and the nations were scattered to the eight corners of the World. The moon was blood, and the sun was as ashes. The seas boiled, and the living envied the dead. All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

Assguards are only important to people who run away from danger. Personally, I like to throw myself into danger facefirst, in a beautiful swan dive.

All I can say is this

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo*deep breath*oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooo*deep breath*oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok I'm done, also like the super intendent said, expect delays and remain calm

Why does the ARG have to end? When the announcement gets here without an awesome ARG its going to be like John Stewart's charancter on Big Daddy proposing after hes outed by Adam Sandler's character. Bungie has been totally -blam!-ed by microsoft. total buzzkill.

  • 07.16.2008 11:49 AM PDT

It's unfortunate members of this community are still blaming Bungie for what happened. I think it's quite clear by spending about 5-10 minutes reading through some topics that Bungie wanted to announce the next title and Microsoft stopped them. No need to find a different publisher, the 360 and xbox live are still the best options for the future. It's not like Bungie or Microsoft have delayed the next game project, just the announcement.

Next, we'll have the same community members complaining about the release dates and why they can't have recon.

Plasma pistols can be worn as shoes.

Just because you don't believe any of what Bungie says doesn't mean that the rest of us don't.

Am I disappointed? Yes. That being said, I'm still excited for the real unveil of whatever it is they had planned.

And to all the people who object to Microsoft's decision (Me included), really, it'll be okay. Once Bungie completes all 7 steps and hopefully us as the 7th column doesn't get obliterated after they take over the world, we will rise and destroy them. K?

Thank you for clarifying for everyone. Coming from Harold Ryan, I kind of knew it wasn't a joke, and if it was, it would probably be a "code" coming from the SI or something. It's a shame to see a cool, nostalgic marketing idea interrupted. Oh well, I look forward to the announcement hopefully soon. Possibly X08 if that's going on.
