S3NATOR has brilliantly taken the next philosophical and theoretical step, and advanced mankind once more. For that, I'm forever grateful.

*lollernadoes*

Damn, I was hoping this was all just a dream last night. Oh well, I can wait longer.

This isn't Bungie's fault, however, I believe I am speaking for many of the members of the Bungie.net community when I say -blam!- YOU MICROSOFT! Microsoft goes and announces the worst stuff during their E3 Press Conference that doesn't just not make the Xbox Live Experience any better, they MAKE IT WORSE! They announce the new dashboard redesign, which is horrible, and the new Avatars which look like crap and go completely against the original Xbox 360 design that we all bought the console for. Not to mention that because of Microsoft's stupid FF13 announcement, we don't get a new Bungie announcement. I HATE Final Fantasy. It's one of the stupidest series of all time, and it is completely wrong of Microsoft to stop Bungie from appeasing the large fanbase they have just because they want a Sony/Nintendo trump card for the future. -blam!- YOU MICROSOFT!

Sucks, but I would like to know why it was canceled?
Microsoft only wanted to showcase its first party games. Bungie is sorta a 3rd party developer.

I still don't think this is right. You guys had all of this information out in the open air for a couple of good weeks, so why did Microsoft delay it? Did they want the glory to go to another game or something? I'm confused. They should have known about it earlier instead of 12 hours before the posted time...

I'm not claiming to know the answer here, but the positive/gossip response that Final Fantasy got from its announcement on Tuesday probably create so much buzz that MS feels its better to delay this announcement and reveal it later.... its like an advantage that they can use in the next few months for their marketing..... FF was pretty BIG news, so why bother letting out the latest game from Bungie so soon....... MS Logic, not my preference of course :D

Thanks so much for the update :) nice to know whats happening.

Commisorations guys, hope you are able to release sometime soon.

  • 07.16.2008 11:15 AM PDT

My friends call me D Bo.

Microsoft is just jealous! Bungie is obviously better than microsoft itself, microsoft thinks that bungie isn't cool enough (sarcasm)

No really, microsoft may have the money and... the extra money, but delaying a freaking announcement from Bungie totally blew my mind.

Let's form an angry mob and march down to the Microsoft headquaters and complain!

Don't worry Bungie, i forgive you! You totally did your job right.... except for microsoft, they didn't do their part.

You guys did your best, and this whole screw-up doesn't seem to be your fault. You guys did a great job tossing us into a sea of chaos about the whole deal, though. At least you learned you're pretty handy at doing that bit. No hard feelings from me, and good luck with this in the future.

No Internet, yanking the countdown timer yesterday was not a joke. We wish it was, though.

I don't feel cheated, but it is a bit of a let down. Well, even so, lets hope we hear of this mystery project soon.

I need a bit of Headlong to tide me over.

  • 07.16.2008 11:16 AM PDT

STOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I forgive you Bungie, the faithful shall wait. Microsoft on the other hand will not be forgiven and is not invited to the Bungie take over the world party :(

"The facepalm required to respond to this would be so gargantuan that I fear it would destroy me." -Urk

Wow, I feel the pain, the anger, the disappointment....
We the fans are all skirmish, but what of the Bungie crew, I mean they had big plans and "some people" basicly went up to the happy go lucky crew and took the plans away, photocopied them, put them in archive and then took the original and burnt it, put it in pure acid and flushed it.

That was brutal! "Those people" are evil.

But I'm sure there are legit reason for this right? RIGHT??!?!?!

I love this post at H.B.O: http://carnage.bungie.org/haloforum/halo.forum.pl?read=886977

So my final words: *WORT WORT* POW POW BANG BOOM, SLASH! *ARGHHHHHHHHHH*

Of all the things I miss, the thing I miss the most is my mind.

I blame it on Stosh. But really I'm just glad this was resolved before someone bad happened. I don't care how long you take Bungie: I'll always be right behind you.

I own a small biz and the words I hate the most are:

"You know what you should do..."

I can almost kill a person when that phrase is uttered. Uncontrollable events happen I can almost guarantee Bungie is not at fault. I know that "the internet" will come down hard on Bungie and from what I have read on Bungie.net and heard on the Podcasts Luk and the Bungie staff will be annoyed but they do listen to the community. Try to remember that as frustrating as it my be for you fanboys out there it is a hundred times worse for the Seventh Column.

Xbox Live: Rooster Boost
PSN: RoosterBoost

how are you going to hype this up now? if you wait long enough people will forget about it, the SI was a great way to confuse us and gain our interest, it was fun and not nearly as annoying as ilovebees, but then MS went and stopped it and now i don't know what to expect, are you going to restart this whole hype machine with something else? what is going to happen?

I think thats right too

Microsoft knew that this announcement would steal the spotlight, all of the buzz and hype that microsoft had generated about their other new announcements and games, like the new xbox live experience, or GoW2 or FF
