So make with the funneh.

Bitch don't tell me what to do.

I still love you guys. Less time to wait between knowing what it is and the release.

Halo 3 nearly killed me the last time. I pre-ordered about a year before Halo 3 came out.

STOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I forgive you Bungie, the faithful shall wait. Microsoft on the other hand will not be forgiven and is not invited to the Bungie take over the world party :(

Nor can microsoft enjoy any of the Lemon Bars or Rice Crispy Treats that i'll be bringing to that party. And just to twist the blade further, i'm gonna put some M&M's in those Rice Crispy Treats... Whoo boy!

Bungie: :}
MS:Really Mad at you ,blame(x100)

  • 07.16.2008 11:22 AM PDT

Good, friendly, violent fun.

Talk about 'gutted factor ten'!

I feel your pain Bungie.

*hugs*

DEEP NNN = Depends

Clan 2old2pwn on 2old2play.

Don't let yesterday use up too much of today.

I'm very cranky about this whole misadventure.

I was induced to expend a significant amount of fan related time on all of this viral marketing stuff and related new game discussion, only to be kicked in the teeth.

I don't know whether to blame Bungie, Microsoft or both. On one hand I think why did M$ do this thing at the very last moment and on the other I think how come Bungie didn't see this coming.

I'll not be easily amused by future Bungie ad campaigns and cutesy gimmicks. I think Bungie should shelve that stuff for awhile.

Man, am I angry and I think I may getting more angry as I try to figure this out.

  • 07.16.2008 11:22 AM PDT

Oh well thanks anyway... its because of Halo Wars i think. They want don't to steal there thunder...

Way to p**s off your fans.

  • 07.16.2008 11:23 AM PDT

I forgive you, we all do. But I'll say this:

Its a possibiltiy that you just lost a ton of fans over this. Many people were tired, angry, and confused when this happened. I think many are fed up with it and are going to stop playin Halo.

I ran a series of tests studying how much injury a dead body could handle. The results were fatal.

I still don't think this is right. You guys had all of this information out in the open air for a couple of good weeks, so why did Microsoft delay it? Did they want the glory to go to another game or something? I'm confused. They should have known about it earlier instead of 12 hours before the posted time...

I'm not claiming to know the answer here, but the positive/gossip response that Final Fantasy got from its announcement on Tuesday probably create so much buzz that MS feels its better to delay this announcement and reveal it later.... its like an advantage that they can use in the next few months for their marketing..... FF was pretty BIG news, so why bother letting out the latest game from Bungie so soon....... MS Logic, not my preference of course :D

They're are almopst too concerned with their image now, Bungie's game would just be another "Hardcore" game that wouldn't do well in a family setting. But I guarantee you that any Bungie game will make twice the amount of money any "Lips" crap will make.

Here's to Halo's Lefties. (not the Jackals, the players!) Check my fileshare, I might be worth your while.Unfrigginbelievable!!! In campaign! check my fileshare!

AR/BR together! Why can' t they just get along?......Well, now I guess its AR and DMR,,,, oh will the flame wars never end?

Red Brute- "It gives you Jetpacks!"

Apologies are in order from myself and most likely many other gamers on the forums.
Well, I guess all we can do now is wait. But I would like to reemphasize my point on how close bungie is to controlling the world: they preoccupied countless fans over the "shenanigans" and the Were Not Even trying to do it.

(you know, the whole confusing the fans "ploy")

even knowing it's not bungie fault it still sucks

  • 07.16.2008 11:24 AM PDT

I'm a teacher that plays Halo. What of it?

Can Bungie either confirm or deny any of the rumors surrounding E3? Microsoft's Don Mattrick was quoted in an online blog interview with MTV Multiplayer that the reason behind no Bungie announcement was because the conference was already "loaded" with content, but then went on to say that Bungie is making another Halo.

When the announcement does arrive, are we going to have to go though the SI fiasco again and being left with the forums in complete disarray?

I understand that this is not Bungie's fault, but Halo is what built Xbox. It was the success of the first game that launced Microsoft into the position they are in now. Doesn't Microsoft feel that they owe it to their and Bungie's loyal fans to allow them to unveil their new work? Bad play Microsoft. Very bad play.

E3 has got to suck for the guys at Bungie now. With everyone asking about what happened and what not.

Quick question... Why take down the home page?
Why didn't you just do what other big companies do, and make a gateway page.
For example, whenever Blizzard releases a new game, they have a gateway with a teaser image, then it goes to the home page.

Why limit your own website?

"We came, we saw, we conquered, then realized we had no way home."

That publisher, specifically those responsible for the unexpected delay and cancellation, might want to keep on the down-low for a few weeks. Rabid, ravenous, and raucous Bungie Fans will do all they can to make their internet browsing experience a nightmare.

This is a real bummer. Not mad at anyone really, but this supposed ARG was extremely involving and obviously had a lot of time and work put into developing it. I absolutely hate seeing wonderful work go down the drain. Such a waste. Hopefully something can be salvaged.

My condolences.

"Lamh Laidir An Uachtar"

Just tell me honestly, Luke, was Stosh chewing on the cords again? Did his beliefs of needing to fulfill his daily recommended dose of "internets" send him on an ethernet-chomping rampage that resulted in these problems?

...I'll bet it was, but I can understand the need to have a good source of internets, so I guess I can't blame Stosh...

...Or can I?

Okay, so there's no huge new project announcement.

What about the "Major changes to the Halo 3 Online experience" announcement?

I am not gonna stop playing halo over this, i enjoy it. Even if i did blame bungie, which i don't, its not there fault by the sounds of things, i am not so petty i'd ruin my enjoyment.

Such a huge disappointment, This doesnt show much faith in you guys as an independent company. I hope you guys get your act together, because you've dropped the ball a lot since you've become independent
