This forum doesnt appear to have a search function so i wasnt able to find any other topics on this problem.

It starting to annoy me and you probably know what the error is.

Playing the game, Minimises, and has an error message saying exception gathering data, Crashes.

I am HaloPC version 1.06
Windows XP Sp2
Nvidia GeForce4 440 64M

I am also getting this error with C&C Red Alert 2 but without the error message (just closes).
I am inclined to believe Windows Xp Sp2 is the problem behind this.

can anybody help me out?

Cheers,
Mike

yes, it's usually service pack two. or, if you're using devtrainer or something like that, it causes an error sometimes.

i would suggest reinstalling the game, selecting the option repair corrupted files, then do a defrag on ur a Hard Drive, and then a scandisk

That happens to me whenever I try to play multiplayer on Halo. I posted a question about it a few days ago, but never found a solution. But I've got Windows 98SE and Halo 1.06, so I'm not so sure it's a problem with SP2

no it doesn't. It's an awesome OS. I think it just lacks in the area of networking.
