Hey everyone! I need some advice, I recently installed Halo so I can play online. Once eveything was installed, I started up a new campaign and it was working. After i tried to play online, then it prompted me that updates are going to be installed. Once the updates were installed, I clicked on the Halo shortcut on my desktop, then I get a message saying Please enter the correct Halo CD-Rom then press ok and restart application (I can't even start my campaign). Keep in mind I did not install gamespy on to my computer b/c of all the adware and stuff (so I don't know if that could be the reason). What has happened ? I uninstalled and reinstalled again and i'm still getting the same message. Can someone help a brother out? Thanks!

is your cd in the drive?
if so, just clean it and re-insert it
if not, put it in
if you downloaded halo, and therefore don't have the cd, your screwed, because no one has bothered to make a 1.06 'fix'

The first thing I would try would be to to restore my system to a point when I knew Halo was working. If that works I would update manually before going online. Thats should take care of the problem of running your campaign after updating. If the restore doesn't work, tech support would be my next move.
