Whats in there? Infected Forerunners, Flood Combat Forms, or even Spartans?

I would LOVE if someone would post a picture (High detail would be nice, but not necessary)
of one or 2 of those creatures, just to see whats inside em!

Thank you in advance.

P.S. Thank you Bungie, for making a great game that turned my life upside down! I have really enjoyed played these games.

I don't recall anything being inside the containers, but then again, I never really took a long look in them.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

I think it's just glow in the dark soup.

It could be some earlier version of the flood. Like an experiment or something.

Werent the Flood created by an accident or they evolved by themselves? I think Lockout is somekind of a containment facility for the Forerunners to learn abot The Flood. Or just keep the Infected Forerunners in quarantine. Or maybe even the humans have placed some Infected Spartans there? Only Forerunners know. And Bungie. Conspiracy? Maybe. A dark secret? Pretty sure. Anyways, theres somethingthe Forerunners dont want us to see.

We know Lockout is a Flood testing facility because of it's description from the main screen. So I am willing to bet that they are some earlier form of the flood.

If I'm not mistaken in one of the tanks is what I can only describe as an umbilical cord hanging from the top (I might be wrong it's ages since I've been on the level) and it is that tank which has the door forced open.

Just asking for a picture/video. If you guys are not busy doing anything, please, send me a video/picture of one of the tanks that have something inside.

they were the only things to look at when trying to avoid getting head shotted when you had no shield..................

All throughout history great empires rise and fall. How you ask?
Two reasons:
1. Economic failure because of either inflation or socialistic programs.
2. War. Their armies were spread too thin and too far from home.

The United States has bases all around the world in "hazardous" areas and it's economy collapses it seems every 20 years. Do you really think that history won't change? Do you really think that you can run the world?

Defiantly FLOOD.

One of the doors is forced open so I would guess a FLOOD got mad......

If you read the description it says lockout used to be for flood study. My guess is one escaped and killed everything. One tanks is open to prove my point.

I have looked at the green tanks, and if you look close enough, you can actually pick out a human shaped form. But thats what I saw, so I don't know what others will see.

In MY opinion, there are some Forerunners. They have a human like form, but not human enough to be a human. And about the open tank... Its just that one of those things broke out, nothing else

I say a bunch of dumb Forerunners were experimenting with the Flood, one flood guy broke out and killed everything. The Halo 3 multiplayer map "Cold Storage" is infected with flood as well and is supposed to be in the same region as "Lockout", so maybe the flood guy got bored with Lockout, crawled though the mountains, and killed everything in Cold Storage. Then it became a Proto-Gravemind thing and infested Cold Storage. That makes sense, doesn't it?

  • 08.21.2008 1:01 PM PDT

Yes, it actually does, but, how do you know if there is mountains in the way, an dif so, what kind of Flood Infection form would it be. And do mean a room on Lockout or something?

Well, they're both at cold temperatures, and they're both on Installation 05(Delta Halo). I haven't actually been outside of Cold Storage, but put when you put two and two together, it makes since. There are mountains visible on Lockout, so I just assumed that there was a mountain range in between Lockout and cold Storage. Second, Cold Storage is not part of the Lockout facility. Lockout is on Halo 2, while cold Storage is on Halo 3. It seems to me that Lockout was used to study the Flood, while Cold Storage was used to contain the Flood. Third, on Cold Storage, there are Gravemind tentacles visible outside a window. It could be the Flood form that broke out of Lockout, evolved into a Gravemind, and infested Cold Storage. Fourth, I never said the Flood that broke out of Lockout was an infection form. It was most likely an infected Forerunner combat form that killed everyone in Lockout, moved on to Cold Storage, killed the Forerunners there, then evolved into a Gravemind. I think that is most likely what happened.

I totally agree with you. A Forerunner Combat Form broke out, and killed all the Forerunners on that facility.

Ive seen some blackish spots around the map, like something was spilled, Forerunner Blood or just some Flood Blood that has dryed? Mehbeh :D
