So I just got Halo for the PC, I wanted to try out Halo HEK. So I got Halo CE and HEK. To be honest, I really have no clue where to start to create my own level. I read some of the tutorial page, but still I don't understand. I tryed looking up videos on youtube, they weren't really helpful. Please someone help me!

I can get you a link to a written tutorial from Halo Maps.com. They ae the most prefured place to upload and download maps. They are also the least shady. They are legit where some are not.

I went to Halo maps, and went to the tutorials and clicked on the "download now" below the tutorials. It leads me to a paige that says "Forrbiden". What should I do?

Troubleshoot.

You're a little problem-solver, aren't you? If you aren't, stop. Now. Or get real.

Scour the Internet.

Well Enough Alone...

Wait, so you tried the [C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\HEK_Tutorial\index.html]official halo ce tutorial[/url]?

Well, ther are a bunch of tutorials around halomaps.org, but I find most of the links to them are old and dont go anywhere. Just follow the instructions on the above link one at a time, get the 3ds max free trial version, learn how to use it (don't expect to get it right away. Took me a week to get a simple box map to work), and learn everything else. If you really want to learn how to make a map, It'l take time. It's been a moth for me (my free trial ran out dammit!), and, while I have actually made a map and gotten it to work in halo, it's definitly not top quality.

The best thing is to hunt around halomaps and check out it's forums and tutorials and stuff.

P.S. If you somehow figure out how to get multi-sub/objects to work and can get them to work all the time, or just shaders in general, MESSAGE ME!!
